Direct lakefront cottage with wood burning fireplace in great room. Pet friendly

I am sorry this guest was displeased but I believe the rustic adirondack vibe was not to his taste. "A full renovation" is a matter of opinion. The photos are clear this is a more authentic older place. The spill was the amonia I use to clean and disinfect. Its good for all surfaces. The place is vacuumed after every guest including the corners and ceiling trim. There are several bright lights in the bathrooms, back bedrooms and hallway. The living/dining area is pine paneled making it darker than white walls. But there are plenty of lamps.

The person who wrote this did not pay for her pet and was not up front on the number of people. It was not clean when she left and the pet hair was additional cleaning. My bathroom is sanitized, as the pictures suggest. It is an older, waterside cottage and reflects that feeling with antiques, wood paneling and a beautiful deck. Two of the bedrooms have water views. All Verizon customers have service, after signing on to the WiFi I make available to all guests. The extention cords were for the fans I provided. There is adequate electricity with safety outlets in the bathrooms. The Adirondacks have poison Ivy but not on my lawn, which I mowed myself shortly before her arrival. I advise everyone to stay on the walking paths and rolling lawn, not the wild areas. I did replace the worn mattress, but a hole is an exaggeration. My dock spaces have accommodated some expensive boats and is very sheltered from strong winds, including recent tornados! Please read all reviews. There is another way to give " constructive criticism" which I welcome as I always strive to improve the guest experience.

I have personally stayed at this property and it has been comfortable during this heat wave. I have fans in the bedrooms that cool them off with open windows and lake breezes. Most lake views include other houses. I offered to come to the property to assist this guests. The sliding door opens easily with the broken handle but it has been fixed. Nothing is "covered in grime". The authentic Adirondack chairs are painted wood and the deck furniture has plastic cushions that have been scrubbed with amonia. They are not brand new but they are clean. There have been no pets here. I left the property with the lawn mowed and there was absolutely no dog poop. There have been geese and their droppings are unavoidable. They have all flown farther north. This property offers everything the website states. Coves are desirable as they protect from the harsh weather and high winds of storms over the lake. The great room has knotty pine paneling and there is no paint to be peeling. The other rooms have fresh paint. I do not coat the window interiors with paint so the open and close without sticking. These guests picked the wrong place for what they were looking for. You can't escape nature here, you are supposed to enjoy it.

The bedroom has a rustic cathedral ceiling. It is exposed wood but it creates a more arie feeling; the fan and vent help keep away dampness. Dust does accumulate near the TV equipment, it doesn't take months. I can pay more attention to that. There are several non stick and cast iron frying pans in the drawer underneath the oven. I mention that in the written instructions. The outdoor deck is well lit from the oversized sliding door. Bright lights at lakeside are not appreciated.
