The mattress is a 14" memory foam Novaform Comforte Grande. There is also a tomato red Jaxx Zipline sofa that folds over to become a California King size sleeper.

Bedroom 2: The queen bedroom features a blue tufted queen with mirrored side tables purchased from the Frito Lay estate (this bed is amazing and looks like a prop from Scarface).

Bedroom 3: The queen bedroom features rich wood details, chandelier lighting, and top of the line mattress.

Bedroom 4: The lounge/bedroom has a sliding barn door, double twin day bed and 100 inch CB2 sofa (please don't spill drinks on the CB2 sofa).

The Neighborhood:
Nestled at the crossroads of culture, history, and resilience lies the vibrant Treme neighborhood in New Orleans. As one of the city's most iconic and oldest neighborhoods, Treme boasts a rich tapestry of traditions, music, art, and stories that have shaped its identity over centuries. From the moment you step onto its storied streets, you're transported to a place where the past and present coexist harmoniously, each brick and note telling a tale of its storied history.

Treme's origins trace back to the 18th century, making it one of the oldest African American neighborhoods in the United States. Its name is derived from Claude Treme, a Frenchman who once owned the land upon which the neighborhood was built. Throughout its history, Treme has been a crucible of diverse cultures and backgrounds, blending African, French, Spanish, Creole, and Native American influences into a captivating melange that defines its character.

Perhaps one of Treme's most renowned claims to fame is its indelible mark on music. The neighborhood's streets reverberate with the echoes of brass bands, jazz ensembles, and gospel choirs that have contributed to the birth and evolution of jazz, a genre that resonates deeply within the heart of New Orleans. Every year, the Treme neighborhood proudly hosts the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, a world-renowned celebration of music, culture, and community that brings together people from all walks of life.

Walking down Treme's historic streets, you'll encounter a stunning display of architecture that reflects its diverse heritage. Stately Creole cottages with their vibrant hues stand shoulder-to-shoulder with ornate shotgun houses adorned in intricate ironwork. Each building tells a story, bearing witness to the challenges and triumphs that have defined Treme's journey through time.

One of the neighborhood's most significant landmarks is St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, the oldest continuously operating cemetery in New Orleans. Its iconic above-ground tombs and memorials provide a glimpse into the city's complex relationship with death and its unique burial traditions. Notable figures such as Marie Laveau, the famous voodoo priestess, find their eternal resting places within these hallowed grounds.

Treme's spirit of resilience is palpable, especially in the wake of catastrophic events such as Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The community banded together to rebuild and restore, preserving the neighborhood's cultural heritage while adapting to the challenges of a changing world. Treme serves as a testament to the strength of its residents and the power of collective determination.

Local traditions and celebrations are woven into the fabric of daily life in Treme. Second-line parades, a cherished New Orleans tradition, wind their way through the streets, accompanied by jubilant music and exuberant dancing. These processions are a blend of African, European, and Caribbean customs, serving as a living expression of the neighborhood's cultural mosaic.

Treme's culinary scene is equally enchanting, offering a tantalizing array of Creole and soul food delights. From gumbo and jambalaya to fried chicken and red beans, the neighborhood's eateries tantalize the taste buds and offer a feast for both the senses and the soul.

In the heart of Treme, the Congo Square Park stands as a testament to the neighborhood's historical significance. Once a gathering place where enslaved Africans could express their cultural traditions through music and dance, it remains a space of reflection and celebration today. The rhythms of the past still resonate within its confines, reminding visitors of the neighborhood's enduring legacy.

To explore Treme is to embark on a journey through time and culture, where the vibrant present is entwined with the echoes of the past. As the soulful melodies of jazz and the lively conversations of its residents fill the air, Treme stands as a living, breathing testament to the power of community, heritage, and the human spirit.
