Nice base for ice climbing/Winter in Pont Rouge

Nicely set up. One bed could use some thicker covers but no big deal compared to the overall quality and space, good place.

Host does not comply with VRBO rules and regulations

Highlights: House was easy to find, grocery store and essentials within a reasonable distance, comfortable beds, and it was fairly clean. The community pool was nice, although crowded and not enough chairs. You can only reserve the hot tub for 30 minutes per day, and most guests did not respect this and occupied the hot tub for several hours so no one else could use it. Cons: When I booked this home I accidentally booked the wrong dates so I reached out to the host immediately to request to change dates and/or cancel and the host refused to help me, even though my confirmation clearly showed I could modify, or cancel for a partial refund, before July 30th. Three times I tried to address the fact that they went against the policy for modification and refund, and they ignored my questions. Arrived at the home to discover it’s very basic. No extras included such as soap, shampoo etc. Only one TV, very little towels, blankets, etc. There’s 1 mini-split in the home located in the stairwell, and it was uncomfortably hot on the main level and in the master bedroom. Every night it was 25 degrees in the bedroom which made it hard to sleep. Sheets were missing for the sofa bed and the owner told me “the cleaning staff confirmed there are sheets” even though there wasn’t. They did bring sheets, unfortunately they were dirty (red crusty stains that looked like blood). Only 7 towels for 4 people for a week so we had to do laundry every other day.

I experienced issues right from the beginning.I booked our stay for June 2026 back in February 2026, but for months I was unable to get any response through VRBO despite sending multiple messages to the host. I'm still not sure what happened with the communication breakdown.Then, two weeks before our trip, our reservation was unexpectedly cancelled through VRBO. In a panic, I searched for the rental online and contacted the property management company directly to discuss the cancellation. They were just as surprised as I was that the reservation had been cancelled.Unfortunately, the problems continued upon arrival. The front door of the unit was left wide open, and there was significant pre-existing damage throughout the property. I took more than 20 photos immediately upon arrival to document the condition of the unit and ensure we would not be held responsible for existing damage.The landscaping throughout the property was severely overgrown, and there was a strong unpleasant odor coming from the furnace room. The upstairs bathroom sink was clogged and drained extremely slowly.One of the biggest disappointments was the lack of enforcement of the property's no-partying policy. We had to listen to loud music, boom boxes, and large groups of people arriving at neighboring units and partying until approximately 3:00 a.m. The next morning, there were beer cans scattered across the driveways of multiple units.I brought all of these concerns to management's attention.

Alles bestens. Die Abwicklung nach Buchung läuft per Mail auf französisch und englisch ab, inkl. Check-In & Out. Direkte Kommunikation, sofern notwendig, fand nur auf französisch und mit Übersetzer-App statt.
