My daughter and I had a great first trip to New Smyrna Beach. The condo was exactly as pictured and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Pool and beach area was fantastic!

Perfect getaway

Absolutely loved our stay! The property was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for exploring the area. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beach getaway.

Great Surfside Stay

We have visited NSB and specifically Surfside for decades. This is the best unit we’ve stayed in. Nicely updated, comfortable beds and pillows, beautiful view. We will return!

Perfect Beach Condo

We loved our time here. The condo is so cute and very well put together. Surfside is one of our favorite condo complexes in NSB. We absolutely loved this condo. Thank you!

Relaxed Beachy Vibes With Everything You Need

The Saxon Ave location is one of our favorites, but the units in this stretch can sometimes be a bit outdated and boring -- Not this one! I loved that it had personality and unique modern beach decor. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and we had plenty of space for our family of 4. Our pup came along for the trip, which made it that much better. We are already looking at booking this unit again next year. Definitely the best unit we have stayed in at NSB in the past 20 years!!

We enjoyed our stay at Surfside! We loved the location, quick access to the beach, and overall layout. Plenty of space for us all. I would’ve given this place 5 stars, but we did note a few things that should be addressed. First, the window on the main door is duct taped on and came loose during a wind/rain storm our first night. We did manage to tape it back up. Second, the dryer takes several rounds to dry a load (even small ones), which was quite frustrating. Third, the smoke detector in the second bedroom had been removed and stuffed in a dresser drawer. I also wasn’t able to locate any oven mitts and had to use tongs to remove pans from the oven. Overall the condo was nicely updated and the host was very responsive to my questions before our stay!

Hi Rebecca, We apologize for the front door window. We had planned to have it replaced before your arrival, but the complex was not allowing our handyman to do the job 🙄 We have since taken care of this. We encourage guests to use the complex laundry room. The washer/dryer in all units at Surfside have dealt with mechanical issues, so we have taken out washer/dryer from our amenities list for many months. We have dropped off new oven mitts :) We are glad we were able to assist you along the way during your stay, and hope to host you again in the future now that everything has been address! - The New Smyrna Stays Team

I honestly wish I could give this property more than 5 stars. The property was clean and spacious. It was located on a quiet part of the beach and only a short 7ish minute drive from Flagler Ave. Many things, including a Publix, was even closer. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with necessities to make meals. We stayed with 2 adults and 4 kids/preteens. We all fit comfortably. We even decided we wanted to stay longer-I reached out to the property owner, and we were taken care of immediately. One important thing I don’t recall being in the description (I might be wrong-we previewed several) was the fact that both bedrooms are upstairs. This was not a problem for us, but it could be for anyone with mobility issues. We will definitely use this property again.

Get rid of the Nest Thermostat

I'd give it 3.5 stars.Our family travels extensively around the US and in Florida multiple times a year. We came in town to support our daughter in a competition in Daytona Beach. When we arrived, it took a while to figure out how to check in. The office onsite told us they have no records of check-ins and don't help with that. We eventually figured it out, but there's an opportunity for improvement in that process. Overall, the place is fine. It's clean, has a great view, a nice pool, etc. The only downside is that there is nothing in that area as far as food is concerned. You have to drive back into Flagler Beach to find various food options. My biggest gripe, which I know seems petty, is that the Nest Thermostat is trash. While it wasn't "Florida hot" while we were there, it was mid-80s most days, and just trying to cool the place off a little in the evening before bed was a struggle. I wouldn't discourage anyone from staying here based on that. The location and the unit were clean and nice. The thermostat was just a nuisance.

Craig, I apologize for your issues with the thermostat. However, we can not account for user error. We explained to you multiple times how to control the device until you were able to figure it out, which once you figured it out, then worked as intended. You also did not review our check-in procedures and entered the wrong condo upon your arrival. We are happy to work with our guests, but we can only do so much. I hope you do find a wonderful rental for your next vacation that has a more user-friendly thermostat.
