We really enjoyed lodge of the Nightingale! The fireplace was great, put out a lot of heat and created great ambience! House was cozy, beds were super comfy. Kitchen was fully equipped, although we did not have time to cook, nor did we have time to use the hot tub, but it looked very inviting. Very pretty area, had dinner right down the road at Gar Woods. Overall, a great stay!

Great Property!

We really enjoyed our stay at the home. The owners care. The kitchen was stocked. The walls had cool art. The beds were cozy. Great to park in the garage. Nice hot tub. We would stay again. Thanks.

Family Vacation

We had a great time staying at this property for our family vacation! The house was big enough to accommodate 8 adults comfortably, and the outdoor space was great to spread out as well. The location was perfect - close enough to everything but quiet and felt like an escape. Definitely recommend this house !

Our Stay

House was well appointed; beds were comfortable; fairly close to Palisades (20 min drive) and close to nearby restaurants. Would recommend staying here.

Great location

Very nice home that was conveniently located. Loved the kitchen and general layout of the house. It was cozy but perfect with the outside space.

The view mostly consist of the house across the street. Hot tub would only heat to 99. A fabulous neighbor cleaned the driveway after a snow storm, something to consider when renting from a vrbo; no-one is cleaning the driveway.

Great place to stay with family!

This rental had everything and even more! It was very clean and maintained well. The kitchen was stocked fully with different types of appliances and utensils which made cooking very easy. We enjoyed the stay and the cleanliness of the house. Will be coming back! Thank you!

Winter visit to Lake Tahoe

I came to visit this property with several friends. We had a great time and the property was as listed. The carpets were quite dirty, but apart from that the home was fine. It is a great space to relax with friends and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Tahoe. It is in a very nice location and I would definitely visit again.

Awesome location and house

Came down with a group of buddies for a snowboarding trip at tahoe, 15min drive but if snowing or icy conditions expect it to be closer to half an hour to 50mins. The house was amazing! Living room had a projector screen which was def the highlight for everyone along with the hot tub! Rooms are all nice and mattresses super comfortable. Thanks!

Ski vacation

Overall the trip was a success, however the listing for # of beds was inaccurate. Only 7 of the 8 listed.

Hello and thank you for your review. The home is equipped with one King, two Queens and two twins. One twin is a trundle and must be pulled out from under the other twin. Lovely and Cozy!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Noise late at night: The neighboring houses’ occupants were loud late into the night (11pm some nights and past 1am other nights). Apparently there is a noise ordinance that there is an emergency hotline for. I learned from the property management company that it is effective, but I didn’t call for several reasons. Bad customer service from 1/2 agents I spoke with at the property management company: When I spoke with someone from the management company, after I vacated the property, she made it worse by blaming me for not calling the emergency hotline after I said I’d be adding this information to my review. I get that neighboring noise is out of the property management company’s control, but future renters should still be made aware and know that the property management company does not assist and refers you to an emergency hotline.A few more things to note: 1) the property is extremely dark inside. The lighting in all rooms is very dim. 2) It gets extremely hot inside the house (the property management company did note there is no AC, but it was bad, 85 degrees or hotter inside and a fan and opening windows did almost nothing to help. 3) We couldn’t leave doors open to cool off the inside of the house, due to yellow jackets coming in from outside.

This is not typical for the neighborhood, and our county provides a hotline that can be contacted to report and address noise concerns. July is generally one of the warmer months in Tahoe. To help keep guests comfortable, we provide fans, and opening the windows to create a cross-breeze can also be helpful. Perfect experience!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Couldn’t have asked for a better rental for our family with little kids. Location was amazing, amenities and the house was perfect. It was clean and came with everything we needed. The staff was very accommodating and helpful (we even had to last minute rent a pack n play). My only tiny bit of feedback is that the WiFi wasn’t great so some of us weren’t able to take a work meeting like we hoped, but that was okay. 100% will recommend and would love to come back.
