Built in 1920 and refreshed for modern comfort, this well-equipped two-bedroom home is just a few short blocks from funky downtown Ferndale and only a 20-minute drive from the ever-growing downtown Detroit.

Perfect for couples, families, or small groups.

We're happy to be dog-friendly! Please review our Pet Policy below before booking. A $75 pet fee applies—be sure to add your pet to the reservation.

We love Ferndale and the surrounding Metro Detroit area! Our house is close to everything:

• 20 minute drive to Downtown Detroit
• 15 minute drive to The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, and the Michigan Science Center

PET POLICY
We allow one dog per stay. A $75 pet fee applies and must be added to the reservation at the time of booking. We have a large, fenced yard for your pet to enjoy.
• Guests are fully responsible for any injury or damage caused by their dog.
• Dogs are not permitted on furniture.
• Dogs must be flea-free and up to date on Bordetella, DHPP, Leptospirosis, and Rabies vaccinations.
• Guests must clean up after their dog in the yard and wipe them down before entering the house. Towels are provided.
• Any damage, excessive cleaning, or flea treatment required as a result of the dog will be charged to the guest.

Please note...
• To enter the home, there is a flight of 5 stairs with a handrail leading up to the front porch.
• Ring camera on front porch facing street. We take your safety as well as your privacy very seriously.
• Access property with a Smartlock.

The home was immaculate and very comfortable...the pet bed and toys were a welcome touch and Whitney's communication was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

Whitney and Jason were wonderful hosts! The place was exactly as described. It was very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together. Communication was easy from start to finish, and they made us feel very welcome during our stay. We really appreciated all the little touches that made the experience relaxing and enjoyable, especially the coffee. Sorry we drank it all!! Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone visiting the area! Every restaurant in the area was excellent!

Very cute and comfy place to stay. Nice fenced in backyard for dog. A few blocks from downtown. Friendly neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay.

I love this house. Everything about it was perfect for two couples looking to enjoy the dream cruise. Comfortable, clean, well stocked, super cute, walkable neighborhood that's and quiet, even during the festival. I couldn't ask for a better place.

Great stay

My fiance stayed for a long weekend while visiting family. The property was super cute and well maintained. The hosts were really great with communication too. The location is walking distance to a lot of good bars and restaurants. All in all a really great experience.

Cute, clean property in a funky fun neighborhood. It was easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. My mom and I loved this little bungalow. The check-in process was easy and clear. The pillows on the bed were fluffy. There was a nice drawer of coffee and the kitchen was a good size and very functional. We will come back!

When location and ease in traveling matters

The location and home were perfect for a business trip of 4 nights! The space was spotless; leaving a great impression to our managers there to visit a customer. Stellar hosts; they are friendly, offered quick responses to questions and very accommodating. Thank you!Will definitely be back.

Great Place; Great Location

Perfect spot in Ferndale. Clean, convenient, lovely. House had everything we needed. My kids loved it - one called it "heaven" the other said it was "so cool." I recommended to the friends we were visiting so they can pass it along to more friends and family.

Fabulous Ferndale Getaway

This clean and updated home was located just two blocks from many popular restaurants and bars. I appreciated the cute front porch with string lights and kitchen complete with dinnerware for guests. Owners reached out but did not intrude- I hope to return soon.

Wedding in Detroit

Great property and the location was perfect. The house looked better in person which is seldom the case. Extremely clean and just a few short blocks to the heart of Ferndale. The owners were very clear about the check in procedure and responded to all messages within 30 mins. Would highly recommend this property. Great trip/ecperience

Our new home away from home in Ferndale

Stayed with our 3 year old and 6 year old. House is very clean and comfortable. Furnished with new quality pieces and baby proofed in some areas. Nice touches like kids plates etc and enough k-cups for the week. Beds are comfy. Backyard is fully fenced and beautiful. Couldn’t ask for more. Hosts very responsive.

We loved our stay here at the Funky house in Ferndale. The house had everything we needed for our stay. It was our first trip to the Detroit area and we really enjoyed Ferndale. It is a short walk to a bakery and lots of fun restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay again.
