Discover the charm of Mt Summit Lake Lodge, your perfect retreat nestled between the quaint village of Mt. Summit and the serene Summit Lake State Park. This cozy Cape Cod home offers four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and is situated on a private, forested five-acre haven with your very own fishing pond and nearly a mile of mulched walking trails. Enjoy modern comforts including air conditioning, high-speed internet, streaming television, in-home surround sound and a fully equipped kitchen. Relax or grill on the outdoor patio deck or gather around the fire pit all while being surrounded by nature's tranquility. Ideal for family gatherings and celebrations or a peaceful getaway for larger groups, this lodge promises an unforgettable stay.

Two bedrooms with king beds on the main floor share the main level guest bathroom and shower. Two bedrooms upstairs with queen beds share another full bathroom with bathtub, shower and dual sinks. Adults and children alike will also enjoy the upstairs loft including tv, games and reading areas.

Welcome to the country! We are on a private well and septic tank. We use eco-friendly pesticides within and around the perimeter of the home, but otherwise the property is natural and abundant with flowers, trees, bugs, critters and wildlife.



Conveniently located right off Highway 36. Only 1 mile to 1000 degree wood-fired pizza and 3 miles to Summit Lake; 4 miles to Whitetail Tree Farm, 7 miles to New Castle and 15 miles to Muncie; 1 hour to Indianapolis or Ft. Wayne.

The home and property were perfectly as described. Plenty of room for large families or group of friends. The home was clean, quiet (a few squeaky floors!), with a large welcoming deck that overlooked the pond, fire pit and hiking trails. The location was close to New Castle and Hagerstown which were quaint with good restaurants and shopping. A great stay!

Quiet Spot, lovely house!

The house was beautiful and had great space for entertaining or just spreading out! Hosts were very thoughtful and communicative, loved staying here!

Hidden Gem

If you are looking for a very peaceful getaway from all the hustle and bustle, this is your spot. The home is conveniently located a short drive off the highway and is close to small town conveniences. A perfect alternative to trying to find a hotel for a larger family when dropping kids off at BSU (a very manageable drive up HWY3) Kris and Aleece were incredible host and went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable! Highly recommend!

My husband and I moved here to be close to family - our parents and two young nephews. We decided to share our property as a vacation rental so that families could experience the beauty of it for themselves and to raise money to build a barn.

This is farm country! L&K Farms has a 24/7 self-service farm stand just a few minutes away. Jacob's Family Orchard sells delicious apples, pumpkins, ciders and tasty treats into the Winter. The Indiana Maple Farmers' Association is around the corner. You never know what surprises are waiting for you down the next side road...

It’s just a quick trip down US Highway 36 to daily essentials in either direction, but you’ll feel as if you’ve landed in a mountain lodge with views of mature oak, maple, hickory and pine from every extended window.

Northern cardinals, tufted titmouse, golden finch, blue jays and more make Lodge at the Summit a bird-lover’s paradise. If you wake up early, you may catch ducks in the pond or deer foraging the forest. If fishing is more your style, feel free to enjoy the complimentary fishing poles and equipment to catch small mouth bass or catfish (if you’re lucky) in the pond out back. We’re catch-and-release only, but Summit Lake State Park is less than five minutes east on Highway 36 where you’ll also find two bait shops with plenty of gifts, gear and things you might need.
