Christmas Getaway

White Oak Vista was as described and was perfect for our family Christmas 3 day getaway. It is convenient to highways, but still quiet and peaceful with a small town vibe. The house had everything we needed with the exception of a hair dryer but I failed to check prior to arriving, it wasn’t a big deal. I recommend staying here and we would come back.

We enjoyed our stay here! Early check-in was wonderful! Pros: We loved the mountain view without having to drive way up a mountain. Proximity to Tryon and Landrum,wonderful small towns ,was great! Yonder staff were easy to work with. Cons: as a short person, a little stool to get into the bed would have been helpful The mountain views are being obstructed by tree growth,not sure if limb trimming can be done.Older guests should not count on using shower on main level,too hard to get in an out of large whirlpool tub with fixed curtains all around.

Lovely house, water was a drawback for us

The house itself was great, very clean & cozy. Unfortunately the water has a strong sulfur smell. We found it hard to drink (bought bottled water instead) and off putting to shower in. Without the water issue I would have loved to stay here again, but would look elsewhere knowing what I do now.

We're very sorry to learn about the odor, and we wish we had known during your stay so we could have addressed it right away. The home is on a well system, and while the water is safe, certain conditions may occasionally cause a slight smell. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future at this or any one of our Yonder homes :)
