The Blackberry-25 Acres- Best View -See Guestbook

Best view in the Blue Ridge Mountains! Cabin surrounded by 25 acres of secluded mountain property overlooking the Green River Gorge. Cabin has two Bedrooms (Queens)/two Baths with a children's loft (loft outfitted 1 Full and bunk beds) with 1 Queen pullout sofa in the living room,. Sleeps two to eight people comfortably.
Wifi also available.

Enjoy the porch with endless views from the hammocks and rocking chairs and building evening fires in the fire pit while making s'mores. July and August brings acres of fresh Blackberrys to be hand picked and made into pie.

Within 2 miles of the cabin, hike hundreds of miles of well-maintained trails, fly fish in the local Green river (stocked with trout), swim in many local waterfalls, tube, raft, or canoe (float trip) the Green river, stroll the local town of Saluda (shops and restaurants) or near by Hendersonville and Asheville. A family vacation that will build memories for years to come. *Please note a four wheel drive is required*

Couple things about area

Our first part of the area is when we tried to get to the cabin. There had been some rain and we had trouble getting our car through the gravel area. It took several times for us to get through several areas of the gravel. One thing I was disappointed in is that we started to use the oven, and it needed cleaning. One day an exterminator came by.....we had no clue who this person was and were afraid to let him in. The last day we had trouble getting our car started. I had to call State Farm to jump the battery....even they had problems getting to us. They never found us. I finally walked the mile to the main road to get someone to help us. While the site was nice to see the mountains, we were disappointed in the "happenings" we had.

Secluded Cabin with a great view

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. The little town of Saluda was great. Plenty of places to eat with no commercial establishments.

Weekend getaway

We had a family wedding outside of Greenville, SC but wanted to be in the mountains. It was worth the drive. Our favorite was sitting on the porch encountering nature, and feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere.

Best ever cabin ever

A peaceful place to go when for a retreat.

We are grateful for our healing time at Blackberry Cottage. Whoever said "I lift my eyes to the hills" got it right. The sunrise, the mist, the sound of bees buzzing -- all translated into comfort. Thank you for our stay.

Amazing Views

My boyfriend and I stayed at the cabin for three nights. It was spectacular. The cabin had everything we needed. The pictures online don’t give the views justice. It truly is beautiful beyond belief. We loved the privacy. You can hear the river from the front porch. Our only complaint is that the washing machine didn’t seem to work. Otherwise a perfect vacation.

Great getaway on a quiet mountain side

Was seeking a quiet, out of the way cabin and this one delivered. Has all the necessary comforts and easy access to nearby Saluda, Hendersonville and Asheville. SUV easily handled the gravel road that leads to the cabin, and the return after each day of activities was worth it when you pulled up next to the cabin.

Cool Mountain top retreat

Nice cabin, great views, tricky to climb the driveway to the house, very steep with a major drop-off the whole way up and down. Plenty to do in the area and a pleasant, a secluded retreat!

Loved the QUIET TRANQUILITY….oh the VIEWS!!!

We throughly loved and enjoyed our 3 short days. It’s was heaven on earth. Clean, comfortable and beyond quiet. A perfect place to go to get-away from todays madness. Close to wonderful wineries & spectacular waterfalls. A great find, one we will come back to soon. Our dogs have never felt more free on the massive forest footprint of this property. Annual Visit

We have been visiting this property since 2007 and it never disappoints. It has become a home away from home. The views have always been wonderful and the property is well maintained. Definitely will be back in 2023!

Mountain time

My wife and I rented as a continuation of our 50th anniversary after a few days in Maine and on our way to SC.. We enjoyed perfect weather in an awesome log home . The description describes well the route to the home. Our weather made it very doable in a 2WD truck. Simply a spectacular home IMO.

Magical Property

Our family had a wonderful time at this property. The easy access to town, the River, and hiking was perfect. Exploring the property and swinging on the porch was perfect! I cannot image a better view and this property is perfect for uninterrupted family time. Lots of wonderful memories were made here. Cannot wait to return next year!!

Peaceful relaxing vacation

We had a great time in Saluda. Beautiful waterfalls, tubing down the Green River and relaxing at the cabin. The view from the cabin was breathtaking.

Amazing Stay at the Blackberry

We had the best stay at the Blackberry. This was our third time staying here but the first with our children (ages 5-9). We had the best time tubing the Green River, zip-lining and picking up food to grill at Thompson's downtown. The Blackberry was the perfect retreat after a fun day. Our children loved the fire pit and being able to make s'mores. The house had everything we needed for the most enjoyable vacation. We will be back!
