This unique brick loft lies in the heart of the historic commercial district, ten steps off of Bay Street, Downtown Beaufort's historic commercial street. The quaint porch entryway and interior brick walls provide the welcome retreat that makes ‘Oyster Bed’s’ individuality shine. You are one block from the scenic Waterfront Park, restaurants like Plums, Saltus, Breakwater, Q On Bay, Wren, and Hearth and others. Stroll down Bay Street, enjoying the many art galleries for which Beaufort is known or the historic residential district, the Old Point, to see the beautiful antebellum homes. The beach at Hunting Island State Park is about a 15-minuet drive away. Come to Beaufort to relax and un-wind, watch the sun set, and experience why we love Beaufort so much!
Oyster Bed is fully furnished, featuring air conditioning, beautiful hard-wood floors, a 30” flat-screen TV, and high speed internet. The kitchenette has a mini-refrigerator/freezer, coffee-maker, microwave, silverware/dinnerware, and basic kitchen goods.

Couple issues

I could not get shower door closed. Needs repair. A new mattress would make the stay much more pleasant! We have stayed here several times. Love this little loft apt. Great location.

Neat little place.

Great location. Everything you need to enjoy old town Beaufort. Easy walk to waterfront with cute shops and art galleries. Historic walking, carriage and van tours nearby.

Great weekend stay in Beaufort

I can’t recommend this property highly enough. The location is perfect—right in the heart of downtown and the building itself has so much charm. Next time we come to Beaufort this will be our preferred stay.

I liked how close the location was to everything. It had a unique style for such a small place. What I didn't like was the air conditioner drain line dripped over the entry door real close to the door handle. We got creative on how to dodge it. And we could never get the tv to turn on. Also, parking was horrible! We followed the parking instructions that we were given but had to figure it out.

Perfect Location!

We really enjoyed the location of the rental. It was walking distance to everything. It is a historic building so there was a lot of character. We enjoyed our weekend getaway.

Lovely small space to stay for two. It was our second time. I wish there was a hairdryer. I didn’t bring mine. Most rentals have them now.

Couples trip

Stayed in Beaufort for a few days heading south. This rental is in a perfect location. Great restaurant across the street & many more around the corner along with lots of shops. Water view is a block & a half walk. The rental is small but big enough for 2 for a few days. We called owning with a connectivity issue he came in a few minutes & all issues resolved.

Beaufort Studio

Check in process was a breeze, communication with Ashley was so quick. The loft was super clean and so cute, this place took you back in time in a good way. With a quick walk downtown and a neat little bar across the street it made for a convenient and great time. The parking on Scott street was closed but no big deal.

Incredible location

If you and your spouse/partner want to stay downtown Beaufort, this is the place! It's across the street from Old Bull Tavern and only a few steps away from all the downtown shops/restaurants. It is small, however, it was perfect for my wife and me. I highly recommend it :)

Great little place

The property was ideal. Right in middle of historic downtown Beaufort. Plenty of great places to eat. A little market next door. We loved it!!

Great property!

Hey Ashley - we had a great weekend in Beaufort and really enjoyed having your place as home base. Super convenient to walk everywhere we wanted to go - restaurants, shopping and the waterfront park. Free parking at the marina is a great perk, but we also found street parking closer at a low price too. Cute little grocery market directly below and Old Bull Tavern just steps away. Our ONLY complaint is that the AC needs a boost somehow - it gets HOT here! If nothing else, an oscillating fan would have been awesome to provide some circulation in the space. It’s a great rental for a couple. We hope to come again.

Great spot, but…

We were given 3 different times for check-in, and at all 3 times the place was unkept as if the last guest had just left. Took an effort to get in touch with property manager, and then was very nonchalant about us walking into a dirty apartment. Amazing location and once clean the space was perfect. But took a lot to get there.

Great place to stay

The location is perfect! Previous reviews mentioned loud noises, but that was not the case for me. The apartment was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Parking was just a block away, but shopping, great restaurants and a beautiful waterfront park are steps from the apartment.

A Solid/ Okay Place

Overall, this was a good stay but there were some moments. The location was great as long as you can deal with restaurant/downtown noises. Even at peak, the bustle & volume wasn't bad. The room was quaint and decently furnished. There were some aspects about the stay that were less than. There were substantially sized water bugs/ Palmetto Bugs/ roaches. I had to throw out some great fudge after (luckily) seeing one crawl out of the box, just minutes after placing it on the counter. There was another roach in the bathroom the following morning. The communication was also not up to par. It took the owner 2 days to answer a question about parking. Luckily, I didn't get towed or booted. Information came to me 3 different ways... and the info was different each time. Do I plan to stay at this location again? No. Would I if there were were no other places? Maybe. If you're looking for a quaint place without frills... this is your place. If you like a little more, you might be better suited looking elsewhere.

Anniversary Getaway for two!!

Loved the Oyster Den but the folks before us had taken the key & parking pass so had to contact the manager. He arranged for another key & found us a place to park. Hopefully that doesn’t happen often. Not a great way to start but Loved the location & the quaintness of the loft. Does require being able to do steps & walk for parking. No problem for us!!! Loved it!!
