Everything was really great. And the communication was excellent. The only thing that I would have wanted to know was that you could hear the train go by often. It really didn’t bother me or my family but it would have been nice to know prior to our stay. It was a very relaxing, beautiful property.

Great weekend. Everything worked great, no problems at all. Great location, only complaint was no responses to email, had a few questions prior to the stay but no response. Other than that a 5 star stay.

We are a fishing family so this location was perfect. We enjoyed the outside deck for our meals. The grill was a great option to cooking. The dock was very convenient launch and easy to use.

This house has everything we needed for a fun, long weekend to relax at the river. Beautiful view and great location! The house is large enough to spread out and the new deck was great.

Great place to stay. Lots of space. Two bathrooms and laundry room are very nice with 5 or more people. House was very clean. Plenty of deck and outside space.

Fishing trip

House was clean and comfy, river was raging so it couldn’t be fished but Raystown lake was a fisherman’s paradise, caught many fish and had a great time !!!!!

Last-minute river getaway

We were pleasantly surprised at how perfect this house was for some relaxation that we needed. It was perfectly stocked with all of the essentials, nicely organized, clean, and the setting is even more beautiful in person. We will be back!!

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time staying here on the creek and are grateful everything needed was at our finger tips. The home was very clean, a must for me. All needed amenities were thought of, from propane to extra fishing bobbers. A quick drive to the lake (less than 10 minutes) made it easy to go daily. Plenty of space for everyone to gather and relax away from each other!

Nice location! Unfortunately the river was probably about 2 - 6 feet higher than normal while we were there. Wasn't nice for fishing like we had hoped, but that wasn't your fault. We did a couple of day trips and always knew we had a place to sleep as long as the train didn't keep us awake? Guess again! Wow do they have a lot of trains.

The back porch by the river was our favorite spot, it's absolutely gorgeous. The rooms were comfortable and the large table was very useful.The house is located on a street that is not busy, but near a railroad crossing, so you hear the train whistle several times a day. Can't be helped and you get used to it, although ear plugs at night are a good idea.A few cleanliness issues...the kitchen was clean, but we opened the window as we were cooking. Inside the window was very dusty and dust blew onto clean dishes/cutting board/food.Also, when we went to use the hall shower,we discovered that the doors were jammed/broken and the shower was dirty. Letting us know this before arrival would have been helpful, as well as a schedule for when it would be fixed.We did have a great stay though, and these minor issues would not keep us from coming back.

Great location. Coffee and sitting overlooking the river was awesome. Place was clean and inviting. Only complaint, NO WIFI. And cell service at the cabin with Verizon was not very good at all.

The location is lovely. Very quiet and peaceful. The house is as described and the kitchen was well stocked. Overall it was not as clean as I would have liked (crumbs on the kitchen counter and nightstand, coffee maker still had coffee grounds in it from previous use, dishwasher had food bits in it) but it was OK. Communication with the host via VRBO app was not good. I asked the week before we arrived if the property had wifi and was told "yes". We arrived and found no wifi. When I asked the host again about wifi I was told that the property does not have wifi and that they had been "mistaken". We had people staying with us who were on call for their jobs and who had to conduct virtual interviews from the property, so the wifi question was an important one. If we had known ahead of time, the situatoin could have been resolved using a mobile hotspot. Days later additional questions to the host via the VRBO app about garbage went unanswered. I have never had that type of experience messaging hosts at VRBOs before.Finally, the house was infested with large black flies. All day every day more appeared out of nowhere. We had the a/c on and were not letting them in. No idea where they were coming from. It does not appear that they were unexpected, however, as there was a fly swatter conveniently located in the living area. We easily killed over 100 in the few days were there. That was really quite unpleasant.
