Although booked as a "luxury house," it wasn't. Holes in the doors, holes in the walls, stains on the carpets -- this wasn't a "luxury house." My family was very disappointed in the house overall. The family even received bath towels in Amazon bags at the beginning of our stay. If this wasn't billed as a "luxury" house, it may've been better. Even the plumbing had issues.

Family getaway

Had a family getaway enjoyed our stay, loved this home from the moment we pulled up easy access the driveway enough room for cars to park, the inside was very clean and organized. The rooms were spacious with extra blankets, kitchen had everything from cooking pans to coffee pods. The best part was the pool and spa were very clean. Would reserve this again and highly recommend.

Sweet Place to Stay

Trophy Haven was a comfy and inviting place for a weekend away! If you have a large group you will have plenty of room. We had to search a little to find all the (limited) kitchenware we needed, but we were otherwise set for a cozy and fun time!

Excellent Stay

This nice clean home was perfect for our needs. We were in town to attend a family function. No complaints or issues during our visit. Great host as well that is very accommodating. Will definitely stay here again if we return to this area.

On paper, this house looked like a dream: beautiful location, great accommodations, a pool and hot tub. Overall, we had a good stay and our kids loved the pool, but there were issues we didn't expect given the price.The property had maintenance issues. The security gate was broken, so my husband used rocks each night to keep it closed. Several outlets were pulling from the walls, the microwave only worked if we pushed the panel into place, and both coffee makers stopped working after one use. In the bunk room, one ladder was broken and one bunk was so wobbly we didn't feel comfortable letting our child sleep on top.The hot tub was a major reason we booked, but we weren't told it was broken until after requesting it twice. We also dealt with many hornet and wasp nests, killing 14 nests over two days. Thankfully, no one was stung. Hosts were sent RAID.There were also communication issues. The pool cleaner was scheduled for Monday but rescheduled to Wednesday without notice. Most concerning, on our final day a propane technician unexpectedly walked up the driveway while my six-year-old was playing in the garage game room. With the gate broken and no notice, this was unsettling as a parent.To be fair, the hosts were very responsive, and the location was fantastic. Our kids loved the pool and the house worked for our family. Overall, we had a decent stay, but the property felt overpriced for its condition. It has potential, but we would not consider it a luxury rental.

host was welcoming. Master bath was dirty. large clump of hair in shower. Towels smelled as if they were not laundered. Shower door was not secure and felt as if it could come off. Master bedroom was missing a blind which was not good for privacy or blocking outside light. Accessory bath upstairs had a hole in the door.Nice kitchen and living areas.

Chuck was responsive as we had to reach out to him multiple times. Check in was easy but we did incur a 119 for a one hour early check in time .

Getaway

The furnishing as well home and outside area where beautiful. Host was very responsive when I reached out. The only negative was needed maintenance that should have been done before our arrival. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

This is not a luxury property. Period. All the linens smelled musty and were Walmart quality. When we arrived there were four towels for use. In a house with a pool and four guests the math didn’t math. There were no wash cloths and no hand towels. We found the washer full of a spoiled load of washed laundry and the dryer full of musty towels. I didn’t come on vacation to do your laundry. Now for the bugs. Ants everywhere. Don’t leave anything out. Wasps swarming the back patio - but they left and empty can of wasp spray so yay. General cleanliness was very poor. Cobwebs and dust everywhere. Dishwasher is janky. Dirty dishes in the cabinets. Allergies are off the charts due to musty smell throughout the house. The shower in the master bathroom had horrible pressure and the shower head was very dirty. The door is broken and barely hanging on. I feel cheated for the money spent on this stay.

Wonderful stay/graduation

We had a wonderful stay here. The house is very spacious for our party of 10. Met all our needs. The pool and spa were well used and gorgeous. Loved the outdoor fireplace and outdoor TV as well! The neighborhood was safe and lot's to do nearby. My kids especially liked the ping pong/ pool table in the garage. There were so many places to relax in this house and we never felt on top of each other. It unfortunately rained all day one day but we didn't care because the upstairs family room was perfect for watching movies. The couches reclined all the way and were extremely comfy. When the rain let up we went in the spa which can get quite hot! We loved it. Didn't mind cooking at all in the beautiful kitchen either. I highly recommend this house and would stay again.

Family Wedding

We booked the home for family wedding in the area. The home is large and was within distance to the venue. We didn’t use any of the outdoor items, pool, spa etc, so I cannot review them. The house is large, but there are lots of steps and step downs, something to be mindful of if you have little ones or handicap. Also, for a large home the downstairs space felt tight, but we think it was the step down into the family room space. Towels where significantly lacking and no washcloths in master, we found 1 under sink, not usable. Kitchen was sparse for a large home rental, larger homes are typically stocked to accommodate larger groups. The house is in a lovely neighborhood, but the overall feeling was it needs lots of basic TLC, updating and a deep cleaning.

The location was great! Very close to TX114 and Southlake (where we were visiting). Chuck and his fellow co-owner were both responsive and nice. Since we were only at the house at night, we had very little in terms of needs. We were in town for a family funeral, and therefore, seldom at the house.The overall condition of the house left a LOT to be desired. I'm guessing the house has not been fully renovated in 30-40 years. There have been a few attempts at improvements, but they fell far short of expectations for such a nice neighborhood.The sloped driveway pulls into a "motor court" on the side/rear of the house; however, it was not accessible due to a large tree that has fallen in the motor court. The tree has obviously been down for some time, and creates a hazard. The sloped driveway (not the owners' fault) was treacherous after the winter snow storm. It was very difficult to get the car up and down the driveway. The car would slide going up and going down, and there is a rock wall on one side. It was always a worry that the car would slide into the wall causing damage to the car and wall. During the winter months, the owners should place sand and/or salt at the house in case occupants need to use it for safety. See more in the rest of the review.

Family stay for Baby Shower

The pool was nice and the house was nice. The kitchen is not well stocked at all so plan accordingly if you plan to do a lot of cooking. The two living areas are really nice! Nice size TVs, which a lot of sitting space. The couches downstairs are brand new and one is a sleeper sofa. While we were there the A/C was NOT working and appeared to be out of service for quite some time because wires were sticking out of the compressor unit with tons of leaves inside (apparently it had not been serviced in quite a while). They did have a couple small window units going, a fan, a portable A/C that was in the Dining room (so not much help) and the upstairs was about 75 degrees. The weekend temps were in the 100's. I requested Chuck refund us money (he was offering a gift card which does us no good since we don't live in Texas). After requesting it via Zelle, Chuck did pay it without a second request. Overall, the stay was good but could have been so much better with working A/C.

Completely misrepresented online

I will state this first: if you do not read the rest of the review, let me just recommend DO NOT rent from these people. I say people like they are homeowners, but it is obviously a management company. They know very little and care even less about the current state of the house.Here are our issues: the backyard is completely overgrown. We travel with our dog (more on that later) and letting her outside is a big deal. You couldn’t trust the grounds, as the grass and weeds were blocking vision of what was underneath. There was also poop from a previous dog in multiple areas outside. The gate to the backyard is broken, the trashcans were all full and covered with bugs, and the outside gate did not work. The inside of the house wasn’t any better, as the photos online are way outdated. The “gameroom” in the garage is nowhere we wanted to spend time. The rooms all needed updating. A complete set of blinds was missing upstairs. Towels were a joke – thanks for the one hand towel. Amenities were bare to say the least. My last point is on the scam they tried to run on us after leaving. They accused our house- and crate-trained dog of “pooping all over the top floor” (an area she was not left unattended) and tried to charge us hundreds of dollars in cleaning fees. All in all, this place was definitely NOT worth the over 1400 we paid for two nights. Please choose another option!!

The house was dusty, with spider webs. Spider in bathtub. Showers not clean. Laundry in washer and dryer. Under the beds were very dirty. Had to purchase cleaner before we could use bathrooms. I wouldn't recommend this house to anyone
