Overall, the house was accommodating because of the location, which was needed for my visit. While the home was cozy, it shows a lot of signs of excessive wear and tear that the management company (and/or its owner) should address to move the needle upward. The most glaring issue surrounds the back wood deck leading to the primary access to the home is very worn, unsafe, and definitely needs to be replaced. The three wood steps to access the deck has no handrail and like the condition of the deck, it could lead to a potential accident. Especially with the outdoor porch light at the back door being very dim. While attempting to access the house after dark, I had to use the flashlight feature on my iPhone to navigate to the back door overcoming the uneven floor decking, which could cause a tripping hazard due to not having adequate lighting. Having to deal with the condition of the wood deck and lack of lighting it was definitely a hinderance when code accessing the house through the back door. For anyone who books a stay who is or has someone in their party with handicap challenges, this home would not be a good fit due to not being ADA compliant.
