Peaceful Getaway

This home is clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect for our visit to Mammoth Cave. The scenery is absolutely beautiful.

Thanksgiving trip

This house and setting was beautiful. We enjoyed the scenery every morning. We even did a campfire and smores a couple of nights. Would definitely stay here again. A great get away out in the country, yet close to Mammoth Cave and a few other attractions we did.

Perfect Escape

Owner is extremely kind and communicative, and staying on an actual farm was such a unique and special experience. It was very quiet with awesome access to all the events and activities of Cave City (without being in the middle of it). The house is meticulously kept and pet friendly, we would absolutely visit again.

Wonderful stay in KY

My family and I had a wonderful, peaceful stay. It was far enough away to enjoy the pretty solitude, but within a short (30 min-ish) drive to Mammoth Cave and most of the other tourist attractions. We found the house very well-stocked and perfect for our stay. The fire pit out back was wonderful and our host even left us supplies for s'mores! Thank you!

Farm stay and cave hikes

This was a beautiful property and made us feel at home. We live on a small farm and this was almost like ours a few states away. Lots of wildlife to see, clean property, and within an hour's drive to major cities or attractions. We love to hike and Mammoth Cave National Park and its surroundings were great! The property owners were awesome and repsonded quickly to anything that we asked. Would stay here again if we ever come back to visit the area!

Nice quiet place.

Nice old house with lots of property for kids to run around on. We enjoyed morning and evening games in the carport watching the horses and birds. Them the fireflies at night. The house was nice and clean and the interior was very nostalgic for me. Felt like I was in my grandparents house again.

Amazing Weekend Stay!

My family of 4 enjoyed our weekend visit. The home is cozy with rustic hardwood floors and decor. It was cold during our stay with snow, but the home was very cozy and warm. The view is beautiful from the dining table as you look out at the farmland. It was very peaceful and quiet as we took walks with our dog, and we enjoyed watching the neighbor's horses. Our host Debra was so kind and was easy to contact, and she made sure our stay was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Farmhouse and property

We absolutely loved this beautiful farmhouse and the area that surrounded it. It had everything we needed to feel right at home and to make incredible family memories. The amazing backyard and rolling hills of farmland were welcoming after a long day of hiking and sightseeing! Our family, along with our pup, absolutely loved walking around the yard and saying hello to nearby horses. Debra, the owner, was attentive and friendly and answered all of our questions. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning.

Wonderful & Peaceful Farm Stay!

My children and I were hiking into Mammoth Cave over a long June weekend and were delighted to stay in this warm and cozy home, which is just like my family and friends enjoyed where I grew up in midwest farm country. Very gracious neighbors were kind to wave and who tended to the tall grasses around their horse’s pen, with a beautiful playful foal and horses to admire from afar as they grazed and rolled in the grass—-such a lovely view to enjoy as a family staying! We enjoyed the easy access to s’mores in the backyard fire circle and savored walks around the property to relax each morning and evening. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay, and we look forward to a return visit! Family restaurants nearby sweetened the deal for my two kids, and we even made it over to the drive in movies one evening for a great Summer memory.

Amazing

We stayed early June. The house is just lovely. The pictures don't do it justice. The place is immaculate new bathroom. Comfortable beds. Everything you need in the kitchen. Lots of space to run around with the dog!! The wildlife in the evening when you sit on the porch, never heard anything like it!! Close enough to the Mammoth Caves ect, but you feel very far away from any hustle and bustle. Highly recommend you stay here.

Perfect stay in the rolling hills!

My entire family enjoyed our stay. the house itself is very clean, very homey, with a lot of things included like a s’mores station, firewood, even cream for the coffee they provided. Beds were comfortable! The views were so beautiful. There’s a large window in the dining room overlooking the rolling hills. We saw many deer each evening, even a buck, and a constant stream of hummingbirds. We saw Amish buggies pass the house Sunday morning. Very quaint! And close enough to Mammoth cave. If this place is available and you’re considering it for your stay, just book it!!

The perfect getaway

We loved staying at this property! After months of stressful work it was the perfect place to unwind. The location is great. Close to town if you need anything and close to all the caves. The house itself was great too with a lot of history. You can tell in some ways it’s an older house but it has many modern and updated amenities. Waking up each morning and sitting outside and listening to the birds and enjoying the landscape was one of the best parts. The yard was great too. Our dog just loved to run and with plenty of space too. Debra was an excellent host. Answering all questions almost immediately. I truly recommend staying here for a quiet getaway!

Thanksgiving

My dad and I needed a place close to family for Thanksgiving, and Debra’s home was perfect! Not only was it comfortable with peaceful views, she made it even more perfect with dog treats for my pup and hot chocolate for us!

Fort Knox Graduation Ceremony

We came from New York to see our daughter’s Basic Camp graduation ceremony in Fort Knox. The house is about 50 minutes from the Base. We had four people staying and the house was perfect. It was immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked, and the bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. The view from the dining room window was amazing. Loved watching the hummingbirds and feeding the horses next door. It was so relaxing having coffee outside in the morning and at sunset. Grocery store and restaurants are only 10 minutes away. We enjoyed our hike at Mammoth Cave and a tasting at a local bourbon distillery. The host, Debra was very responsive to our questions. We hope to stay here again for the Advanced Camp ceremony, next summer.
