Welcome to Fisherman’s Cottage; a cozy retreat with gorgeous lake views from the enclosed front porch and open-air back deck- perfect for catching a breathtaking sunset. Spend some time enjoying a complimentary wine tasting at nearby 21 Brix and return to comfortable furnishings, a fully equipped kitchen, and an efficient bath complete with a spa tub. Rent alone or pair with our newly renovated Mainstay cottage next door for extra space- ideal for families or groups seeking a peaceful getaway.

The interior exceeds expectations! Great for myself and a friend to cook and have some quality time catching up. The view of the lake from the seating for two is beautiful and we got to do some fun bird watching. My friend who enjoys cooking said it is extremely well equipped for cooking! Lots of thoughtful touches.

Peaceful, great location and beautiful interior/decor. Wished we could have stayed longer. Nice proximity to local vineyards and local towns. Our pups also appreciated standing on the overlook and peering out to ever changing Lake Erie.

The cottage was so lovely. Julie thought of everything from the dog bowls and dog bed, to the kitchen, everything you need to make a meal or bake a tasty treat - all you need are the ingredients. The cottage is homey and welcoming. Due to weather our plans didn’t work out, luckily the cottage was so cozy that it just turned into a couple of days or rest and relaxation. If we are in the area again we will be booking the Fisherman’s Cottage.

What a well decorated and thought out property! The lake view was stunning and visible through the windows. Walking right up to the cliff’s edge revealed even more of the impressive view. We loved the deep, comfy sofa and chair and the book selections. The soaker tub with Epsom salt provided was an excellent touch Very quiet and serene, especially during the rainy nights. We felt really cozy!

Pleasant and quiet cottage on a bluff overlooking Lake Erie. Nicely renovated, clean, and comfortable. We spent six nights: enjoyed reading and relaxing while looking out over the lake. We will stay again the next time we visit family in the area.

Very cute and comfy cottage just off of Lake Erie. Check in/out was incredibly easy, as was finding the location. Very quiet. Only stayed one night as I was passing through, but it was lovely!

We got with the host very last minute after our previous rental had issues and what a difference this made for our trip. Quick response time, incredibly kind and accommodating! The space was cozy yet modern and everything we were needing. We can't wait to come back and stay longer!

Beautiful private property and very well maintained. This is our second time staying here with our doggo and she loves the area as well. Beautiful sunset views! The host communication was also great from the time of the booking.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

I grew up going to Chautauqua every summer and fell in love with the laidback small-town charm found in this part of New York. Memories here feel like antique shop finds, ice cream cones, beach naps, and late night porch cocktails.

Being from Erie, I also know the value of a Lake Erie sunset and couldn't resist the opportunity to share it with others.

I renovated much of the Fisherman's Cottage myself! It was a passion project that took a little over a year. You'll find some quirky imperfections in this old fishing cottage but don't let that stop you from enjoying the comfort and quiet she offers!
