The property was very centrally located and close to Milwaukee Ave. It was very cozy. The host was very easy to communicate with. We would certainly stay there again!

Host worked with us to get us in a day early. Always answered my emails within a few minutes, even on the weekend. House was as advertised and very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!!

Easy to Travel to Chicago

Great stay, clean and easy to access! Not a bad drive into Chicago, but nice to stay outside of the city.

The space has everything we needed and was easy to find. Parking was easy, really quiet neighborhood close to the Navy base and access to downtown Chicago. A highlight was coming across the Libertyville Coffee Company around the corner. The owner provides a great little nook to have a cup of coffee on the house. The Sundown team was very good with communication, the back yard was comfortable and we grilled outside. There was room for our entire group. Great experience, I’d book here next time in the area.

A complete dump—and an insult to military families. The experience starts with the factory lot right next door, which is filled with dump trucks, and not shown in the listing. The garage is in disrepair, which suggests that the mgmt. co. isn't taking good care of the property. This was confirmed when we entered through the dilapidated side door. The kitchen was not as clean as it should be - bits of food remained in the sink. Upstairs, the bedrooms were small but clean. The big (and really gross) surprise came when we saw the bathroom. As in the photos, the bath is filthy; there is no way we'd use it. The grout was dirty and the drain was ringed in red mildew that should have been cleaned years ago. We also noticed what appears to be an old piece of toilet paper stuck under the toilet base.Downstairs, along with the dirty sink, the microwave was covered with greasy fingerprints. The downstairs bathroom is shabby too, with a chipped “privacy” window and no hand towels. The living room furniture was rock hard. Outside is no escape. Besides the factory next door, the grill was covered in bird poo—not a good combo. When we shared all of this with the mgmt. co., their rep told us that the property was clean. In short, you're on your own, chumps. We're shocked that SV hasn't taken care of a property that they promote to Navy families. The "USS John Kennedy" is an insult to military families, to JFK and to anyone who doesn't want to be disappointed with a dumpy destination.

To our understanding, you requested to cancel your reservation at the last minute but per our cancellation policy we could not offer a refund at that time and you ended up not completing your stay. Well located home that is fully appointed for a family stay. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood and private, off street parking. The host made it easy to check in and we appreciated the attention to details in the home for travelers.

Great location, property as advertised. Very much met our needs for a 4-nite 4-person plus pet stay in the area. Patio area great for outdoor visiting in nice weather. Clean, well-equipped. Would stay again.
