This beautiful light filled end unit is centrally located in the premier gated community of Barrier Dunes on Cape San Blas with palm trees, stocked fishing ponds, tennis courts/racquetball, playground, clubhouse, and beach, boardwalks, and 2 outdoor pools. One pool, adjacent to the beach with its sugary white sand fronting the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico is a 2 minute walk away. The other solar heated pool is 4 units away. Our unit has faux wood plank flooring throughout the main level: living/dining room, with sleeper sofa and love seat, 55 inch Smart TV with built in Roku. The dining table (which seats 4 or expands to 6), plus 2 bar stools, to the well stocked kitchen which has a new electric range and microwave. A full bathroom and bedroom with a queen size bed are on the main level. The upstairs carpeted master bedroom large suite has a king size bed, vaulted ceiling, private balcony, walk-in closet a double vanity & separate bath room with stand alone shower, soaking tub & toilet. The first floor deck has new Poly Wood patio table & chairs; and new gas grill are provided on the deck. Outdoor shower is in the carport area. Opportunities are near at hand: fishing, shelling, swimming, biking on 3 miles of paved bike paths, and enjoying 8 miles of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Barrier Dunes is adjacent to St. Joe Peninsula State Park. Come and share this piece of paradise.

Beach getaway

Took a quick trip to Cape San Blas with my wife and had a great stay at Barrier Dunes. Proximity to pool and beach access was nice.

A great place to stay

The owner is very quick to respond and instructions for the checkin and stay were clear, concise and spot on. The unit is clean, and very cozy. It has everything you will need for your stay and everything works. It is right by the second swimming pool and tennis/Pickleball courts. It is also a very short walk to the beach. And as everything else in Barrier Dunes, it is also a short walk to the clubhouse and the main pool. The beauty of the Cape is it’s peaceful easygoing pace. No big crowds, And if you want even more seclusion there is St. Joseph Peninsula State Park that is just outside of Barrier Dunes and which provides trails and even more secluded beaches.

Excellent property in Barrier Dunes

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a short walk to the beach and we had all the amenities we needed. The smaller pool was just steps away from the property and worked well for my mother with mobility issues. This is our second time staying at Barrier Dunes and we love the low key, family atmosphere! Thank you

Great owners

We really enjoyed our stay. Beach and pool are both close. When we arrived the upstairs AC was having issues. We called the owners and they had someone out to fix it within 30min. Would definitely recommend.

Great weekend/great place!

Really enjoyed our 2 nights on Cape San Blas at this property. Kitchen had all we needed to cook dinner and breakfast. Very comfortable master King bed. Easy walk to beach. Very clean. Nice drive to Port St Joe for dinner in their restaurant/Main Street area. We loved that it has more than St George Island but much less crowded than PCB or Destin. Would certainly stay again. Fun in the sun

Great location for enjoying Cape San Blas. It was a nice getaway for the family. It was as advertised and affordable. The property manager was proactive with communication. We would stay there again.

Great family vacation

The property was very well stocked. The unit was clean and well maintained. The owner was very responsive. The bed was very comfortable! Loved being within walking distance to the beach. I was very pleased with my stay.

Wonderful stay

Our family stayed for 10 nights at this condo and everything was wonderful. The home was very clean upon arrival and had easy access around the condo complex. Our family enjoyed everything!

Weekend getaway

An amazingly clean and extremely comfortable stay! I’m 6 months pregnant and slept like a baby in this comfy home. The provided chairs and beach umbrellas were very convenient and helpful! I cannot wait to come back and stay!

Everything you need, close to the beach

We were pleased with our stay here. They basically everything you could need. We brought our chairs and beach gear, but they had that all there. I can’t think of anything I reached for in the kitchen to cook that I didn’t find. There were several new upgrades. And there was none of that beat down worn out carpet you see in some of the other units. The couch and loveseat were very nice. It was an end unit which I was pleased with. The only downside to getting an end unit is it might be harder to cool in the brutal heat. But the air conditioner seem to have no problems with the mid 80s. I’ve been in some other units that are struggling at that point and froze up and conked out. But this unit was great. We were very comfortable. The only thing that I did miss there, and this is not a downside for most people, is I like to have a stick vac so I can keep up with the sand. We drop our shoes in the foyer and at the back door, but it’s still finds its way inside. I just like to keep it, vacuumed because no one likes the feel of gritty sand on the floor. I feel it’s a good price point to. If you want a house and are willing to pay more, then you might get some thing different. But we are there to have fun and I’m not looking for an HGTV dream home. If you need something cute and well appointed with well functioning AC, this would be a good choice.

I am a retired art teacher from the Chicago area, now moved to LA to be near our new grandchildren. Our family loves the beach at Cape San Blas. Our place is beautifully decorated, and well appointed. We are located 30 seconds to the solar pool and tennis courts, and less than a 2 minute walk over the boardwalks to the beach, clubhouse and pool. We love to bike and hike in the St. Joe Peninsula State Park. We love to eat the great seafood in the nearby restaurants, and listen to live music in the local eateries/pubs. Apalachicola, the second oldest city in FL., is a half hour away.

We purchased our townhome in 2004 from an NFL football player. We love the uncrowded, sugary white sand beaches of the Florida panhandle. We enjoy the great fishing eating, shelling, biking,and relaxing at the gated community of Barrier Dunes.

We love the small town of Port St. Joe. We shuck our own oysters that we purchase by the pound. We enjoy the most beautiful sunsets over the water. We also enjoy the shopping and great restaurants in historic Appalaciocola, the 2nd oldest city in Florida, only 30 minutes away. Also, we never miss a dinner at the Indian Pass Raw Bar during our visits. We take part in the several local activities whenever we can.
