This place was amazing! All of us lived on the veranda for a week along with the swimming pool. Early morning coffee with a beautiful lakeside view and a comfortable shady spot for watching the grandkids play in the pool. The house is comfortable and well supplied. We give this a 5 star rating and highly recommend it!!!

Clean home with beautiful pool and lake view. Great room, dining room was stuffy due to no window treatments on backside windows/doors and air could not go below 68.

The property was as described and we enjoyed the pool and the views of the lake. The cleanliness could be a tiny bit better and the couches could use an upgrade (no tv in any of the bedrooms either), but the house was well-stocked and the lake views are spectacular! It was a birthday weekend for my young daughter and she had a blast in the pool and fishing from the dock. The landscaping is nice and adds to the sense of privacy from the neighbors. The bedrooms are spacious just wish there was a tv in them. There wasn’t a blowdryer in any of the bathrooms but it wasn’t a big deal for us. The kitchen is very well-stocked and there is a spice cabinet full of common spices. This would be a wonderful place for a large family to spend time together as there is plenty of room for sleeping and spreading out, There is also a nice selection of games, puzzles, and books. Communication with the host was fast, which is appreciated. Overall, this is a nice, roomy lakehouse with incredible views and a nice pool for those hot, summer days.

Served us very well as we were trying to accommodate various family from around the county in for a wedding. Host was wonderful and the house/setting was very enjoyable!

The location and surroundings were absolutely beautiful. The pool was big and nice. However, there was no ladder in the deep in so could be dangerous. The house has tons of room and the living room is great for the whole family. There were games to play during the rain showers. There was a few places in the flooring that was messed up, the outside chair legs will fall through cracks so be careful, and none of the front doors open so while bringing in luggage or groceries you have to walk around the back. Also it would’ve been nice to have access to the garage so we could’ve loaded the cars out of the storm on check out morning. Overall the house was nice and again, the view and area on the lake this house is located made the trip!

time for mom with grandkids & great grandkids & great great grands

was a great place for us (14 of us) near my family & mom for Thanksgiving. was very kid friendly and spacious & the kids enjoyed time fishing & swinging. just wish weather had been a bit warmer!

Fun time on the lake

Great family trip. The house is very clean, spacious, and nice. The family loved the pool and time on the lake. We'll be back!

Loved the house, everyone kept going on and on about how perfect it was. The littles loved the pool and fishing. And driving past the horses.

Great family lake home in a convenient Talladega location. We usually have to rent near Alpine to get a property large enough for my brother and I to stay with our large families, not this time! The bunk room, pool, and upstairs jack and Jill with two toilets!!!! Made this stay a BREEZE. They also have two ovens baby!!!!!! YASSSS. The master has a whole bedroom off of it which can hold two queen air mattresses or 3 twins (there is a large desk and chair there too that would need to be moved to the main bedroom first) if you needed the space. The downstairs master with en suite was great for my mom who doesn’t do stairs and overall the property was perfect for our purposes. It’s hard to find a Lakehouse with a pool! This fit the bill. The ONLY issue was the grill was not cleaned at all so we wound up using the ovens which wasn’t a huge deal. We brought pool toys, bubbles and floaties but they also have plenty onsite which was a lovely surprise. More than enough towels and toilet paper & TONS of seasonings (to which we added lol) but almost no trash bags, laundry detergent or toiletries. Most people bring their own toiletries but the two kitchen trash bags caused a bit of a panic. There’s a dollar general five minutes up the road so, crisis averted. This family enjoyed!

Bridal side family sanctuary

We came to Alabama to celebrate the joining of two families. I questioned the need for a pool by the lake, but my sister knew that our mom and adult grandkids would love it. As we spent a long weekend attending a wedding party 20 minutes down the road, this was a perfect, quiet sanctuary for the whole crew. Making breakfast and enjoying the lake view while socializing melted away stress. Thank you for sharing. Definitely would stay again.

This property was in a nice neighborhood and had a nice setting. The bathrooms were clean and the beds were clean. The pool was also very clean. Past that, the house was outdated, the walls were filthy along with some of the furniture. The vents were rusted. Before we arrived I sent a message to the owner about the arrival and payment to make sure we were good and he replied yes. When we arrived the door was unlocked, the front window was busted (see attached picture) and the place was very run down. I immediately let the owner know about the door and the front window. He said sometimes they leave the door unlocked and the front window had been broken three weeks prior. We finished our stay and checked out at 6am to head home. I got a message from the owner at 8am, saying we never paid an extra 695 that VRBO told us we did not owe anything else and not to pay him. I told him VRBO told us we did not owe anything. He then messaged me saying he is filing a claim on a closet door for over 800. We did not damage a thing in that house. Just beware booking with this owner.

VRBO found my facts correct and payed me what you chose not to rightfully pay for booking an extra night! You are someone who skips out on paying what you agreed to! They booked and paid initially. They requested an additional night, weeks afterwards ( full amount to be paid during stay) Conveniently you ignored VRBO and myself sending emails and messages asking to pay for your additional night, when you arrived. When you finally responded you said the amount was too much. You didn’t have a problem with the price when you booked my house. What ever damaged was reported by the cleaning ladies is what you did. I’ve been hosting for 4 years and have hundreds of guests with nothing but positive reviews and superhost status.

Took my dad for his 70th birthday. The place was gorgeous and on a quiet, peaceful area of the lake. We had 6 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of space. The porch views alone were worth it. Very clean and the owner was easy to communicate with. We will be back!
