The chalet was wonderful. The rooms were perfect and the kitchen was well stocked. The downstairs bedroom and playroom were great for adults and kids. The coffee bar was very helpful in the morning. The outside amenities were perfect for relaxing. We will definitely consider renting in the future.

Had a wonderful weekend here! The house was very clean and the beds were comfy! Labeled light switches were great! Hot tub and both the patio and deck had plenty of seating! House was incredibly well stocked. Can tell that the owners definitely put thought into this house for their guests! Lastly, if you love coffee (like I do) you’ll find 2 well stocked coffee/tea stations!

The property is centrally located to Helen and many outdoor activities while also being very private and secluded. We did have internet issues, with a determining that the modem had probably gone out, but the host called us and walked us through some troubleshooting before we came to that conclusion. Despite that there is plenty to keep busy at the property. The kids loved the arcade and karaoke machine, the adults loved teaching the kids to play pool, and we all sat around a nice fire in the evenings to sky watch and roast marshmallows. Even without the wifi you still get a pretty decent cell signal at the property. The property is very well maintained, very clean, and had everything we needed and we found communication with the host easy and quickly responsive.

We were very impressed with how well stocked the cabin was.Light switches labeled was great.Accommodating and clean. Great variety of recreational activities. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Excellent! Exceeded expectations! Clean and comfortable cabin in the woods. My family of four enjoyed a week at this property. It appears to be able to easily and comfortably accommodate a group of eight. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you would need to prepare meals. Plenty of space and options to gather and hangout, and plenty of space to retreat when needing quiet. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and clean

This home is so thoughtfully stocked and laid out. We had three teens with us and everyone had space and things to do. The owners are super attentive and easy to get ahold of if needed. Highly recommend

Beautiful and Convenient

Amazing!

This unit was exactly as described and more! From the location to the amenities to the host and even the clean we couldn’t have asked for anything more! The kids had a great time as well as the adults. There’s a little something for everyone. If you’re looking to stay in the area I highly recommend this property, you won’t be disappointed!

Everything promised - and more!

This was the best stocked cabin. I love to cook and it had everything we needed. They had games and entertainment for every age. The outdoor area was very easy to enjoy with the hot tub and fireplace. They even had wood and lighters. Stargazing was great and we saw a meteor!

Awesome place and location!

Property was very clean and well stocked. Hot tub, fire pit, pool table, and game cabinet were fully functional and well maintained. Beds were comfortable as were the multiple couches in the common and rec areas. DirectTv and internet functioned well; no issues to report. Knives were sharp! which is usually not the case at rentals for us! Had a great time with family and grandparents!

Southern Skies Chalet

Beautiful Chalet, serene setting with amazing view from the deck. All considered, this was a wonderful bargain in a rental chalet. Has privacy and space for three couples and all the amenities you can ask for. We will be back.

Most beautiful place we've ever stayed

Our stay at Southern skies chalet was nothing short of amazing. The house was so clean and well maintained. The rooms are spacious and beautiful and the beds were so comfortable. The decorations for Christmas made it even better. Walking in to a lit up Christmas tree and all of the decorations made me feel like I was going into a Hallmark movie. My kids and grandkids all enjoyed the amenities, especially the pool table downstairs and the games. We sat around the fire pit at night talking and laughing. Thank you so much for helping us make wonderful memories. We would love to come back again soon.

We loved this house! It is exactly as pictured. It is clean and spacious. All beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. We spent a lot of time downstairs playing arcade games, board games, pool, karaoke, watching movies, hanging around the fire pit, and relaxing in the hot tub. It is conveniently located near Unicoi State Park where we went zip lining and loved it. We also hiked to multiple nearby waterfalls and spent some time exploring the shops and restaurants in Helen.The outdoor furniture on the deck is a bit older/worn out, but we still sat out there and enjoyed the mountain view. We only rated check-in 4 out of 5 stars because the A/C was not working and it was 90 degrees upstairs. This was during a heat wave so A/Cs were going out all over the place. The property manager was VERY responsive and sent his maintenance team out immediately and had a HVAC company come and fix the issue. The A/C was back up in running in a few hours. We were very happy with how the issue was handled. Highly recommend this property! We would love to come back again!

Perfect relaxing stay

This cabin was a perfect family home with two floor plans. The patio views are gorgeous & so relaxing in the mornings while drinking coffee and in the evenings to sit and watch the sunset. As a family we had breakfast and dinner upstairs together, played board games/arcade games downstairs and made smores outside in the evening! We had the perfect amount of space and quality time together. Would definitely book again!!

best weekend ever

if you are wanting a safe and secure get away , this is the place. i highly recomend this place. we had the best time with our friends. the outdoor fire pit and hot tub were very popular for us. all teh sightseeing and shopping in helen were within minutes of the chalet.we just cant wait to come back in the summer to float down the river and shop more in helen.

Great place to stay

We enjoyed staying here very much. The set up is great with 2 master bedrooms upstairs and a bedroom/hangout/kids area downstairs. We have never stayed at a more well stocked VRBO. The outdoor space is very enjoyable (fire pit, grill and hot tub). The road to get there is fairly steep/curvy one car road but that's about what you get to stay on a mountain. It's very close to unicoi (went hiking and swimming) and downtown Helen. Owners easy to communicate with. Would 100% stay here again!
