Helpful tips for future tenants….remember to take a bag of ice, the well water is typical as it is smelly, take plenty of bottled water, coffee maker is only 5 cup, hot water lasted 5-10 minutes, WiFi was nonexistent so, don’t count on any service, no remote to the blue ray player, Roku lost signal constantly…the hot tub was great and the king bed was surprisingly comfortable.For the price for the weekend, we would definitely not stay again.

This.property needs some updating.Bathroom.needs to be update.The shower wouldn't hold enough hot water for 1.shower to be completed.The kitchen needs update. The refrigerator doesn't stay cold.They could at least include diesh soap and hand soap. The chemicals in the hot tub were to.strong.

"Thank you for your feedback. We were surprised to read these comments, as you mentioned everything had going well when we spoke over the phone today. I would like to clarify that your unauthorized early check-in and early key removal unfortunately cut our cleaning window short and disrupted our housekeeping schedule. Because our team was forced to leave the property before finishing their setup, the hand soap and dish soap were left on the front porch for you rather than being placed inside. Additionally, our hot tub is fully sanitized and chemically balanced right before arrival for guest safety; because you entered the property early, the standard treatment had not yet had time to fully dissipate.Regarding your notes about the kitchen and bathroom, we take maintenance very seriously. Our team has already inspected the refrigerator and water heater to ensure they are working at full capacity for future guests. We always strive to provide a seamless experience and kindly remind future guests to adhere to scheduled check-in times so our staff can fully complete their quality-assurance checks."

We were extremely well satisfied with our stay and totally enjoyed all aspects of the cabin.

The peace and tranquility of this location and the cabin. We have stayed there many times over the years and will come back in the future!

Amazing stay!

We spent a lot of time on the deck, loved the swing and hot tub! The bed was really comfortable. Would definitely come back!

Our favorite getaway location

IF you are looking for peaceful & quiet vacation, then this is the place to stay! No loud parties; you can barely see the other cabins and it's close to EVERYTHING that Hocking Hills has to offer. We can no longer afford to stay a whole week, but the five days that we had were great.

Very nice and secluded. Hot tub was very clean and well taken care of. Only drawback is the well water and the floors looked like they haven’t been swept well at all. Killed about 5 flies my first few hours there. Whoever is responsible for cleaning in between guest stays could do a way better job. Overall the cabin is very nice for the price.

The cabin is dated and the shower didn’t work. The linens were old and worn. The beds were old and mattresses worn out and hard. The appliances were dated.

Absolutely not worth the money that I spent on it, extremely disappointed.

Only thing that was clean was the hot tub, proximity to Hocking Hill State Park was nice, ease of check in service

Review of Cherokee

Overall good stay. Comfortable bed, adequate hot tub. Poor kitchen layout, smoke alarm went off with any stove use. Couldn’t shower, water was disgusting. Floors were dirty.

The host responded promptly to my concerns which was wonderful, but my overall vacation in the cabin was not favorable.The stove was filthy with grease, so every time it was used the smoke detector went off. The shower did not drain, so you stood ankle deep in water during the shower. The hot tub was clean and looked inviting but hornets were attracted to it and swarmed around the cover therefore it was not usable. The water is high in minerals and is not drinkable, that would have been ok if a heads up about bringing drinking water was stated beforehand. The kitchen sink could have been scrubbed out to remove the stains.It’s a cabin and the setting was beautiful, We enjoyed the porch swing and the fire pit. Heard my first whip-poor-will. Loved hiking the Hocking Hill attractions and eating breakfast at M&M”s diner in Logan.Overall though, the negatives really ruined the stay. In the end, much of my money was reimbursed, but I would rather have moved to a cleaner cabin, with the amenities I had originally looked forward to and paid for.

We will be back next year!!

This is our second year coming to this cabin. We love the privacy, yet not too far from town and trails. It really is the perfect location. There were upgrades made since last year, including new furniture and big screen TV in the living room. The king size bed is super comfortable and the hot tub is fantastic. If there are any issues, Venture is very easy to get a hold of and quick to fix or attend to whatever it is. They even called to see if we needed more towels. LOVE this cabin!

Overall positive but lacking in some areas

Spacious area. Nice hot tub The Wi-Fi was NOT usable however. It would not stay connected as the signal was too weak and streaming on the tv would not work. There should be kitchen antibacterial cleaner available to wipe counters etc.

Well, the place looked beautiful, however extremely stuffy/musty. Whenever you took a shower it smelled like skunk. We had no TV all 3 days. Day 2 the owner came out to try to fix the TV but it didn't work. I called and emailed but no one responded. Oh...also when you shower, don't count on drying off with a dry towel because there's so much moisture they were damp upon getting out. Let's noe forget you need to speed shower because the hot water doesn't last long.

Great, but wouldn't do it again

The room was great and the cabin was bigger than expected. It was cute and clean and the location was good too. The reason I wouldn't stay there again was because the water smelled like sulfur and eggs so bad that I had a hard time brushing my teeth. I didn't shower because I couldn't stand smelling like that and even doing the dishes was difficult. We drove to the local store and bought bottled water to take care of things but I was really looking forward to taking a bath but I didn't feel like marinating in water that smelled like eggs. It's too bad because I would've totally stayed there again if it wasn't for this. I think someone else mentioned it too and all I can say is, I should've read the reviews first. I absolutely expected more for the price (i.e. take a shower and smell clean afterwards).

Comfortable, secluded cabin that needs some serious updating

We loved this cabin for its seclusion and the wonderful tall Yellow Poplars and other trees which surround it, but it also needs thoughtful updating. The poor lighting was awful for reading and other tasks. It need new linens & bedding. Sheets are worn out. TV, WiFi and hot tub are great. The kitchen is most in need of rehab, also some loose tiles in bath. The overall impression is the owner does not wish to make significant improvements. We loved the cabin overall but it could be much better,
