What a great place to stay, very comfortable and well furnished. It feels more like a home than a rental. It's in a quite neighborhood with an easy walk to both downtown and the marina area. A definite recommendation.

Excellent for large families or groups. Third floor bunk beds with privacy curtains is a children's paradise. Large kitchen and ample outdoor space for grilling and outdoor meals.

This might be the best VRBO our family has stayed in. It was very comfortable for a large family. Easy walking distance to cute downtown Bayfield. The beds were comfortable, the space is large. We enjoyed using the many porch areas, The owner seems to have thought of everything. Thank you!!!!

Our group of 8 adults and six children were more than comfortable in this lovely house with room to spare. The kids were so excited to sleep together in the bunk room on the third floor, and all the parents slept great in comfortable beds. Kitchen has everything you might need and then some. We enjoyed the very short two block walk into downtown Bayfield… we didn’t have to worry about parking! The house is also two blocks from the Ferry to Madeline island.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hale house! It’s close to downtown Bayfield and all of the surrounding areas best attractions! Perfect amount of room for our large group of 12, half of which were children. The house offered games, toys, outdoor games, fire pit for s’mores and more!

Our family absolutely loved Hale House! Not only is it incredibly well located, it is also very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well appointed with anything that you might need and cleanliness throughout the house is remarkable. From this old house with modern standards, you can observe the ferry and Madeline Island from most windows as well as enjoy a secluded woodsy backyard.

Fall getaway

Great space for two families with young-ish kids, and it was a bonus that we hit beautiful fall colors. We loved exploring the nearby woods on our way to town. Conveniently located near ferry to Madeline Island. House is stocked with everything you may need, including entertainment and toys for kids.

Great Location

Really enjoyed the property. Wonderful location - close to all the shops and restaurants downtown!! The house was very clean and had everything we needed! The host was wonderful and very responsive! We went over the Fourth of July and enjoyed the fireworks on the balcony! House was well maintained and roomy.

A great place to entertain

We stayed at Hale House while visiting our son, daughter-in-law and grandson. The high moment of the trip was when we were able to have a family dinner in that beautiful outdoor space. The kitchen is lovely and easy to cook in. The bedrooms and baths are a little different from a modern home as this is a historic home but still very comfortable. We spent a great deal of time reading in front of the bay window at the front of the home. Lovely stay.

Amazing Experience!

Our extended family was traveling to Bayfield for a long weekend and the Hale House could not have been a more perfect place to stay! We had 15 people total 9 adults and 6 kids ranging from 4 months to 11 years old. The house accommodated our group perfectly and had something for everyone. Not a single detail is missing from games, cozy nooks for reading (a great selection of books if you have forgotten one), a well stocked kitchen with all the items you need to make meals at home. It was the perfect central location to all of the Bayfield adventures and the hosts were incredible- responsive and so helpful with local suggestions for our crew. We would highly highly recommend a stay at the Hale House.

This house is amazing! So beautifully decorated and kept! We loved the beautiful flowers blooming out in front as we sat on porch swing, enjoyed outdoor grill and made s’mores in the front fire pit. The kitchen has everything you need to cook-plenty of space and all the utensils to enjoy a family meal around the spacious dining room table. Games provided entertainment in the evenings and location to downtown ferry, apostles island cruise and shopping are short walk from this lovely home. Adults, kids and grandkids loved this home!
