The apartment was beautiful, comfortable and well furnished. The location couldn’t be any better. A very short walk to downtown, and the view is stunning. Being right be the highway could be a little noisy but being able to sit on the porch and watch the boats come in is worth a little extra noise here and there.

The unit was exactly as photographed. Seemed very new. New appliances in the kitchen that were very intuitive to operate. Lots of extra space so that we weren’t tripping over cooler, Rubbermaid tubs, etc.Comfortable bed. Very clean.No better view of Lake Superior could possibly be had in town.Bright, cheery furniture on the private deck.Hosts were quick to respond to messages. Helpful with useful information when we requested it.Only downside: we were there for 4 days. First two days were heat warning and though we never opened the door to the deck, the ac struggled mightily to cool the unit. It was constantly warm. Having said that, when it was 98 outside it was struggling to keep it 82. But hey—there are plenty of rentals in Bayfield that don’t even have ac. The internet also went in and out “a lot” (sometimes every 10 minutes). Possibly heat related? Finally, our last 2 days were during the air quality warnings. The air index stayed in the 550-760 range for our last 2 days. The filter on the ac unit was not sufficient to keep the smoke smell out. It smelled like someone was grilling inside. But 760 is ludicrously high, perhaps there’s only so much a filter can do.Overall: 5 stars. I think they can’t help the temperature nor the smoke!

We just were amazed with the views of downtown, the harbor, and the lake. The homes in the neighnorhood were nicely landscaped and the neighbors were friendly. We felt very safe. The living area was a comfortable place to relax at the end of the day. Although the highway was below the home, the noise was not a concern to us even with the windows open. The entire town is built on a hill that slopes towards the lake. We found an alley way on the lake side of the home that made the walk into town and back home a bit easier.

We loved the house and its location. Our morning coffee view was spectacular. Check in process is always easy, We have used VRBO several times. Why would anyone stay in a hotel when they can live in beautiful house for the same price?
