The Lazy Cat Lodge - Hot Tub - Fire Pit
"The Lazy Cat Lodge," a guest house located on our 10 acre estate that gives you quiet serenity, lots of green space, plenty of parking, including for your boat if you are boating at nearby Alum Creek Reservoir.
The first floor is ADA accessible including the master bedroom, master bathroom, living room and kitchen (including the washer dryer. There is a ramp to get in the front door.
You are safe! Inside is a CASPR unit which removes 93.19% of all viruses!
Free EV charging station on site!
13 min to the state fairgrounds, 5 minutes to Polaris Fashion Place, 17 min to The Ohio State University and 20 min to downtown Columbus or the world renowned Columbus Zoo! Also, we are 2.5 miles to the main boat ramp of Alum Creek Reservoir.
The space
• Located between two quiet neighborhoods.
• Private front porch with swing.
• Access to hot tub through kitchen door, basketball pole, and fire pit.
• Fully equipped with a washer, dryer, and ironing board.
• Off-street parking: Three dedicated parking spaces near the house, additional parking upon request.
• Living room contains a 41” 4K smart television.
• Every bedroom has it's own individual smart TV.
• Fully equipped kitchen.
• Guest house is connected to the main house, but has its own separate entrance.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire guest house with the exception of two small storage closets.
Outside of the guest house, you will also have access to some of our exterior amenities, including our hot tub, fire pit, patio, and basketball hoop. You are also welcome to take a walk or play games in the fields on the back 8 acres of our property.
All exterior amenities of the estate are shared with the main house and two other short term rental units, so you may encounter us while you are using them.

CHECK IN: Check in is at 3 PM or later.
CHECK OUT: Check out is at 11 AM.
PARKING: There are three well marked parking spaces beside the basketball court plus one more (also well marked) opposite those three. You are welcome to use any and all of them.

The house was very nice and clean! We wish we brought the dog because of how pet friendly it was. Doc was very fast with communicating and was super kind. We wish we were staying longer!

Wonderful place to stay! Property owners have really put thought and love into covering everything you might want/need. We had two familes with 5 kids ranging 7-13 and they had wanted to stay until we had to leave :) Highly Recommend.

Purrrrfect!
We were in town to attend a family event. It was a great location, we loved it, the kids loved it, and the hosts were particularly attentive. We definitely plan on staying there again!

Amazing Host
Dr & his wife are the best host and always are welcoming. Lazy cat is a spectacular place for a work trip or getaway, plenty of things to go, the property is very clean and maintained along with being safe.

While I appreciate the Five Star review, the guests comments give the impression that there were multiple things wrong with the house and that isn't true. The only item the guest asked me about was how he could lower the temperature of the water in the Hot tub from 103 degrees (which is pretty standard) to 98 degrees (which is cooler than normal body temperature of 98.6 degrees). I explained to him that, in order to drop the temperature by 5 degrees quickly, I would have to drain some of the warm water and replace it with cold water and offered to come over and do that for him. His answer was "Na, I'm good". After, getting that response, I messaged him to say that there is a garden hose right next to the Hot tub so if he still wanted to lower the water temperature a bit, he could just add some cold water. I'm assuming he did that because, at check out, he messaged me, "Thanks for the great stay! Definitely 5 Stars!"

Perfect!!
This place is top notch and we would consider staying here again on our next trip into town! From booking to checking out, the owners are fabulous and wonderful with communication!! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I would highly recommend!!!

Paradise
Doc’s Cozy Cat lodge was a delightful, refreshing break from a long drive. They really thought of everything a visitor might need. He was very prompt in messaging. Our grandsons thoroughly loved the toy barn and we all relaxed in the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again!

We were in Columbus for the Car Show. Amazing time and excellent location and house was perfect. Had vehicle issues and luckily owners were so very generous to help everyone to work on vehicle. Thank you all so much.

The Lazy Cat Lodge was a perfect home for our family. Check-in was as easy as possible and the home was clean and well maintained. Our kids enjoyed the basketball court and the large outdoor areas to play. To top it off, the owner (Doc) was very accommodating when we had to make some schedule changes. Doc couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. All-in-all, a great experience!

You can’t go wrong booking this house! Doc and his Wife are the bests hosts I have had in my many vacation rental experiences. The home was exactly as described. It was very well appointed and spotless. I could not ask for more. Thanks Doc! We will be back!

Because we have a large asphalt finished area, we offer a myriad of fun activities for our guests. We have a number of little electric ride-em cars for kids plus "drifters" for adults and kids. Depending on the weather, we oftentimes let guests drive our golf cart on our property but that is with permission, We offer folks an experience, rather than just a place to sleep! For groups that need more than one bedroom, it costs less to stay with us than at a hotel plus, you can eat in (saving on the cost of eating out), have a fire and make S'mores, or have a cook out and sit out on your patio if you wish.
