Perfect stay

It was a nice little stay, i enjoyed my time there. The hosts were very easy to get in contact with and very considerate.

Sweet & pleasant

Short drive to downtown, got some good sleep it was very quiet the home was warm before we arrived I had a last minute reservation I parked my rental in the driveway was kinda worried at first because it was first time in Detroit—-pics aren’t up to date on google place looks a lot better in person host was very nice and made sure I was checked in will always keep this place in mind for my future stays.

The host was really nice. The location was near a lot of places, the neighborhood was not so great. The neighbors were honking their car late at night for the 2 nights we stayed. The description was misleading, we had to share the very narrow driveway with the guy staying downstairs, even though the description stated we would have the entire house to ourselves. Personally house means the entire house not just the upper level. We were woken up at 4 am to someone revving their car and doing burn outs. There are no doors for the bedroom 9 or bathroom, in the living room part you just had a view facing the other bed. The bed was extremely comfortable though. The doors had mechanical locks with a passcode, it was very secure so that was a plus. The place is close by to a police station. Nearby a couple malls as well, and downtown.

Have you ever seen the movie Barbarian? It’s kind of like that. The photos of this place are not accurate, this place is an attic of a 3 flat that they put a camp shower & toilet in, this place is perfect if you are 4-5 feet tall, for reference I am 5’4 & I was on my knees in the shower for the water to rinse my hair. There is no silverware, or toiletries of any kind so come overly prepared. there also must be a hive of some kind in one of the unfinished part of the attic rooms because the last day we woke up to the sound of the biggest bee’s I’ve ever seen trying to get out the windows which is when we discovered a bullet hole in the front window that really adds character to the room. We were there to work back to back 12 hour days outside at a music fest and so this place was just a spot to sleep at, and given the photos we thought it may be comfy and far away enough to be less noisy, however we had an issue with a guest downstairs having a full blown front yard party with his car doors open blasting music to which we let the host know and he apologized but that’s it, so we remained awake from 3-7am and were told the owner refuses to give refunds, he said we have no proof because I wouldn’t go outside to record them having a party, but there are cameras out there he could have very well watched but are only viewed ‘in an emergency’ a singular day refund for my lack of sleep into a 12 hour work day would have made up for everything else. But alas, money human compassion.

We’re sorry to hear the stay did not meet your expectations. We do want to clarify that the property photos accurately reflect the space listed, including the attic-style layout and setup. We also want to address that claims regarding “bullet holes” are false. During the reservation, there was documented evidence of smoking/vaping inside the property, which violated our house rules and resulted in the security deposit being withheld. When concerns regarding noise were brought to our attention, management did respond and addressed the situation as quickly as possible. We strive to provide a safe and comfortable experience for all guests and appreciate all feedback that helps us improve.
