It’s a beautiful property with gorgeous lake views! The house is exactly as pictured. It was clean and had everything we needed. The 3 decks allowed for the family to spread out during our stay.

Another fantastic trip at this beautiful home perfect for escaping with our kids. Lots of board games, puzzles, reading, and swimming and fishing was had by all and we hope to continue the tradition and visit again next year!

The home is great and communication with the host was great. We had a blast and very comfortable stay. The beds are top notch and way better than expected. The closest grocery store is about 30 min away. It is not well stocked with items for folks with gluten allergies or vegan. So you’ll want to prepare accordingly.

This home is in a wonderful location with gorgeous, relaxing views! The house is well-maintained, and the property manager was easy to communicate with. The boat ramp was a real plus since we were there for a high school fishing tournament. The only suggestion is to update the listing to indicate that the 2nd bathroom is only accessible from the outside (the porch).

I stayed for nearly a month and it was such a reprieve. I absolutely loved the two screened in porches and I spent most of my time there. It was also lovely to enjoy looking at the water on the porch swing on the ground level of the house. The sunsets were just stunning. The master bed was very comfortable and that’s important to me. I hope to come back in the future.

We live just down the road from the property and were hosting a large family gathering. Heron's Hideaway served as the perfect second home for our large extended family. They enjoyed movie nights in the spacious living room area and enjoyed coffee each morning on the lovely porches and outdoor seating areas. It was the perfect accommodations for our purposes and we will definitely book again in the future!

Great Lake house

We had a great time staying at this beautiful lakefront home. A quick celebration for our kiddos finishing out the school year! Many memories made through puzzles, fishing, swimming, floating, cooking out, napping, games, cards and just simply relaxing while taking in the view. Would recommend!

This house is not only the perfect lake getaway, but it’s also nestled in a clean and peaceful neighborhood! The amenities were top-notch, the showers were incredible, and the views? Absolutely breathtaking! The third-floor porch is the ultimate spot to relax and soak in the stunning lake—morning, noon, or night!

We enjoyed our stay at the lake house. The dock and swimming area was great & I really liked having the boat ramp on the property. The house was nice and comfortable for us. My only complaint was the upstairs bedroom. The bedroom was nice and comfy but with no blinds or curtains on the windows it was daytime bright at 6am so I slept downstairs after the first night. Thanks again for letting us stay!!

Beautiful Escape

We had to pivot last minute for Christmas with many family members. This place had gorgeous views drinking wassail and coffee while looking over the water and wildlife visitors. We had a fantastic time with plenty of room for our family. We realized the pans were not in great shape and message the rental company. They had a new set to us within a few hours! Their response was always very professional and quick! Highly recommend!! We will be staying there again

The property description was misleading as there was no two bathrooms in the house. One bathroom was outside the house and the boat lift was not operable and was not disclosed in the write up. The dishwasher did not work. The cleaning lady had to come back in and started cleaning the property. After an hour and a half of her trying to clean up, we finally said, leave it at this point. Little baffled by the reviews as we did not find the property clean.

Peaceful

We enjoyed our stay! The views were amazing. Coffee in the rocking chair in the morning and wine in the rocking chair at night. Saw the most beautiful sunset from the dock. Rented a boat for two days that we could keep overnight for sunset cruises and happy hour at a waterfront restaurant. House was smaller than pictures showed, but was perfect for our family as the bigger the house the more spread apart the family would be. Beds super comfy! Second bathroom is outside which was a little different, so we mostly used the inside bathroom. Neighbors super friendly. We had trouble w getting into the house initially as it was a weekend and property management was only available via vrbo messaging, but we got that figured out. Overall, this place was tucked back just far enough away from reality to provide such a quiet and relaxing week. Grocery stores available about 20 minutes out. We found lake Murray to be this hidden gem in SC. Highly recommend staying on the lake.
