Charming cabin, orange + Mid Century Modern themed! Beautifully decorated with a unique mix of citrus & Mid Century Modern décor, hand-built furnishings, custom tiled shower, lots of pretty touches, and fun retro toys/games for guests to enjoy, including a ViewMaster with 3 reels from famed MCM architects and Palm Springs decor. Tucked away in a serene nature setting, nestled within Daniel Boone National Forest along Rockcastle River! Sleeps 1-4. Open floor plan includes Living Room space, Full Kitchen, sleeping space on main floor with queen bed and a sofa fold-out twin bed. (We’ll be adding a loft with a 3rd bed Spring 2024 for 3 beds total). We have 5 cabins listed here on our property. Pets/dogs aren’t allowed at this cabin since we accommodate some guests with allergies, however we do allow dogs/pets at 2 of our other cabins - Ruby Ravine and Riverside Blue cabins. We keep our cabins and property clean and tidy. We don't charge a cleaning fee. We just ask for dishes done, trash bagged up, and zero littering policy. We're open year-round, and decorate for the holidays. Pretty solar lights come on at night. Keep your eyes out for fun yard art, wild turkeys crossing the river, occasional otters playing in the water, deer prancing across our rolling green pastures, bald eagles soaring above, and a variety of pretty birds.

Our Tangerine Dreams cabin is newly built with pretty décor & decorative bed covers, all adding to the cabin’s ambiance with a mix of boutique/fun artsy flare ~ You’ll find orange, citrus and MCM décor throughout the cabin; Real copper kitchen sink with brass dragon faucet, red/yellow glass bathroom sink on live-edge wood. Hand-built furniture, tree timber porch & loft rails, and interior tung & groove wall boards from local Amish-milled wood. We love eye candy! We don't do cookie cutter furnishings. See photos :) Our other cabins are Ruby Ravine (red + pretty rustic/retro themed), Riverside Blue (blue + forest themed), Sapphire Springs (blue + water themed) and Emerald Forest (green/magical forest themed – coming April 2024).

We’re conveniently located off interstate-75 and offer a nice, unique cabin stay with comfy beds & indoor amenities, along with the beauty of outdoor nature, campfire nights with crickets chirping, galaxy stars above, and misty mornings. Book a cabin stay to recharge your batteries during long road trips, precious vacation time, kayak, canoe & fishing trips, outdoor adventure & off-roading in the area, trail seekers, family gatherings, romantic getaways, and holiday celebrations. Let us know if you’re booking for a birthday or anniversary so we can put up a celebration banner! Kayak rental + shuttle available further down our road.

Our property & grounds: We’re on private land within Daniel Boone National Forest set above Rockcastle River. Tangerine Dreams cabin is 1 of 4 newly built, color + nature-themed cabins located on the higher part of our land amongst a variety of tall trees, grass lawn, gravel drive & walkways. Each cabin is elevated up a few steps leading to a wood deck, up a few more steps leading to your front porch. (Our Riverside Blue cabin has a wheel chair ramp at the back porch). Your front porch & living room window overlook a variety of shade trees, fire-pit, grassy pasture, and a large weeping willow tree. Rockcastle River is across our grounds down an embankment. At night, pretty solar lights will automatically turn on, including string lights over the front deck, lanterns over cabin porches, tiki flame lights lining walkways and drive ways, and a few fun light designs in big trees around the property. A few camping chairs surround a fire pit out front along with a moveable charcoal BBQ grill. A rechargeable flashlight is provided for night time hang outs and walks.

Animal lovers: Across our property on the other side of a ravine, we have several pasture pets. Check with us for visiting our 4 donkeys (Nova, baby Sabrina, Savannah, Leonardo!), pet chickens, and 3 cute goats (Ginger, Scottie & Sophia) .

We want guests to feel welcome, relax, make themselves at home, and have a fun time here! I enjoy people, love nature, kayaking, hiking, animals, all sorts of art, adventure, a wide variety of music, wood working, DIY projects, road trips, interesting food, travel. Having a campground is a great combination for all of these loves combined :) French Canadian grandparents grew up on Quebec farms, and Arizona coal mining town of Bisby. Mom, aunt and hardworking grandma were from beautiful Lewiston Maine, moved out west where I grew up in a large town, worked in corporate America most of my life, and always had a love for outdoor living & adventure. Always had pet chickens, fruit trees, and wanted to some day have more land and pasture pets in a nature setting. Stayed in urban life and office work until mom and aunt passed, and a year later pursued my goal for starting a campground. Pet peeves - litter and litterbugs! We appreciate "Leave No Trace" mindset, respect for nature and diversity, and hope to offer guests an enjoyable stay and visit to the area :)

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

For most of 2020, I searched for land in a pretty nature setting, with a relaxing river or lake nearby that I could turn into a campground. I gathered dozens of property listings in 5 states which have mild winters - KY, NC, SC, TN & AR. I fell in love with Kentucky's bountiful, lush green landscapes! Lower central Kentucky is surrounded by Daniel Boone National Forest and has it all - dozens of lakes, river, waterfalls, all sorts of outdoor activities for all energy levels, gorgeous prehistoric limestone & sandstone mountains to explore, caves, tons of trails, beautiful birds and majestic wild life, fascinating rock hunting, art, museums, talented live music, nice people, and all 4 seasons ~ beautiful Spring, Summer & Autumn weather, and gorgeous Fall colors. Our location is also really conveniently located between northern and southern states, and an easy few miles off interstate-75 freeway, and nearby town of London KY for dining & shopping, so we're in a great location during long road trips, weekend getaways, birthday & holiday celebrations, family reunions, and outdoor adventure - off-roading, mountain biking, cycling, hiking & walking trails, gorgeous waterfalls, geocaching. We have lots of info to share about the area!
