This expansive 4,200 sq ft home comfortably accommodates up to 20 guests, making it perfect for family reunions, corporate retreats, or group vacations. Property Highlights:

Bedrooms: 6 well-appointed bedrooms, including a master suite and themed rooms for a unique stay. Master bedroom equipped with Smart TV. Fun loft area with four single beds.

Bathrooms: 3 full bathrooms equipped with modern fixtures.

Living Spaces: Spacious living rooms on main and lower level with Smart TV and comfortable seating. Huge game room with large-screen Smart TV, foosball table and two couches. Convenient lower-level wet bar with full-size refrigerator. Large game table perfect for family games.

Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen featuring a double oven, island seating for four guests, and an expandable dining table that seats up to 14.

Laundry: Laundry areas on main and lower levels.

Outdoor Areas: 800 sq ft main floor deck with seating and gas grill; 800 sq ft covered patio downstairs with outdoor seating; large driveway accommodating multiple vehicles and boats.

Boathouse & Dock:

Boathouse: 1,250 sq ft double boathouse with a 900 sq ft sundeck on top.

Dock: Swimming platform with 11 feet of water depth.

Boat Lifts: Two lifts that will accommodate various watercraft.

Awesome stay

We celebrated my mother’s 78th birthday and this place was perfect for it. It accommodated our large family and it was stocked with everything needed to make an awesomely successful weekend.

The Kids had a ball as usual, they loved the new big screen TV they put in Media room downstairs. Will definitely rent this house again.

Location, location, location!

Family time with a view!

We had a wonderful time. Kitchen is well stocked, multiple common areas and we all enjoyed the amazing views from the decks. Plenty of outdoor furniture!

Wonderful Time!

Great place to stay for the weekend! Plenty of beds, beautiful lake, lifts for two boats, large dock, and close to the store. Owner was fantastic at clearing up an issue that came up. Would stay again!

Fantastic house

This house works well for us. We had 15 spend 2 nights and 2 more show up for a day. The owner answered multiple questions for me. Love the house. Well stocked.

Another wonderful weekend

Thanksgiving getaway

We visited the lodge for a thanksgiving family getaway. The rooms and house are very spacious. Vrbo’s description of the house was very accurate. The owners of the home are very nice, welcoming, and are timely in responding. One negative I would give is the housekeeping of the house. It needed more of a “detailed” cleaning. This property could also be more handicapped friendly as far as entering the house. Overall, it was a great stay and would recommend to others.

Great Family Reunion

We had such a great time!! Lots of space for everyone. Even space to close the door so the "littles" could not hear the adults play games, loudly!! The dock was perfect for kayaks, paddle boards and a fishing boat. The water was deep so no feeling the bottom of the lake. Lots of parking for everyone coming and going. The grill was perfect for burgers, chicken and anything we threw on it!! We can't wait to go back! What a great week!!

Very Relaxing

We all really enjoyed our stay. The view was amazing, the host was great, and the kitchen was fully stocked with cups, plates, and other needed dinnerware. The only drawbacks were that there was 1 television in the whole home and that there wasn’t a new dish sponge to use. Otherwise, it was great and we plan on coming back!

Work retreat

My company held an event at Lake Gaston and several of my coworkers rented this house for a couple of days to attend the event. It is a beautiful home with an amazing view. What a great place to relax and hang out with friends. We did not want to leave. This would be a perfect house for a family vacation to the lake. Plenty of space, beautifully decorated, and conveniently located to the grocery store and local restaurants.

Opening our family Christmas present

We rent a house at Christmas so our family can get together and send time with each other This is our third year and this house was awesome The perfect amount of space Perfect description and photos are spot on So thankful for a great time and a beautiful house Also with small children it was nice to have a house with less personal items and knick knacks out

Perfect for 5 couples

The owner was easy to work with and communicated clearly. There is so much room in this home (and outdoors) to spread out. We needed 5 bedrooms with either queen or king size beds for our 5 couples, so this was a good fit. It seemed like each room was well-insulated. We didn’t hear any noise from any other part of the home while sleeping. The rockers on the back porch were favorites of all of us!

Needs work but great location

The property was in a great location and the deep water dock was great. The layout of the house was good for our 16 people but the house needs a lot of work and it was not up to par for cleanliness. Needs carpets cleaned and pests controlled. The deck and below the deck needs power washing. The condition of the deck was dangerous with nails sticking up and splinters. Had to go buy wash cloths and towels. If you advertise sleeping 16, then you need to supply for 16 people.

Calming retreat

A group of church ladies enjoyed rest at the lake and renewal in Jesus. The huge windows overlooking the lake provided the perfect scenery, just like we were in a movie. All of us recommend a stay here!

Nice Property on Lake Gaston

8 members of my bass fishing club stayed at Blue Heron Lodge for a weekend tournament on Lake Gaston. The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and property owner/manager John Gray was easy to work with. The long driveway worked well for four truck/boat trailer combos. The dock also worked well for two of our boats. We launched an recovered the other two each day. Some bushes could use trimming and the front porch and dock steps could use a coat of paint, but otherwise everything was to our liking.
