Enjoy your quiet family get-away in a lovely, newer construction beautifully decorated cape with central air. Just a couple-minute bike ride/walk from Pleasant st beach and nearby to Ridgevale and Red River beaches, all safe with warm water, waves, great shelling and wonderful tidal pools. This fabulous family vacation home includes a finished basement with a ping pong table, stereo and game table with chairs for the kids to escape to after a day at the beach or on one of those rare, rainy Cape summer days. Your back yard will be the Red River conservation area. Enjoy the morning visits of Mrs. Fox, along with constant sightings of, rabbits, squirrels, turkeys and chipmunks. Includes the 'Best outdoor shower in Chatham' with dual shower heads. Just a short drive to the most wonderful downtown on Cape Cod - Chatham, well-known as the best shopping and restaurants on the Cape or equally as lovely Harwich Port with many fabulous restaurants. It is also a very short drive to some wonderful fresh water lakes nearby. Downtown Chatham features their wonderful, family friendly Friday Night Band Concerts - a kids favorite. Enjoy the best-priced baseball anywhere when you watch the Chatham Anglers of the famous Cape Cod Baseball League. Finally the bike path is close to the top of the street and you can either ride to downtown Chatham or head in the other direction towards Dennis. Truly the best and most reasonably priced vacation you can find in the Northeast.

Great location, beautiful house.

We had a great stay, the host was very responsive and helpful. Wonderful, private and quiet location. Lots of space in the house and very well-equipped. Will definitely rent again the next time we stay down the Cape.

Cape Cod Visit

We found the property to be clean, spacious, and well equipped. The property's location is excellent for touring the outer half of the Cape. A lovely beach is just 2 minutes away. Cannot beat that. Owner was very helpful and attentive. We will consider staying here again the next time we travel to the Cape. A top notch house.

Very nice house in a great location

This is a very nice, well maintained and updated house in South Chatham. The location and neighborhood were perfect for us as was the short distance to a very nice beach on Pleasant street. The owner was very good to work with and he always provided great and timely information making the check in and check out process very simple and easy. Highly recommend staying at this house when looking to enjoy a very relaxing vacation Chatham.

3rd Time Staying Here

This is our 3rd time staying at this location. We love the location of the property. Great house for our family of 3 visiting this time. Embarrassed to admit we locked ourselves & the host was super responsive & had us back inside within quickly. Would recommend this property to any family and friends.

Nice house in a beautiful part of the Cape

The house was perfect for 4 adults. It's in a quiet neighborhood with a great restaurant (Pisces) and a nice beach (Forest Beach) within walking distance (both less than 1 mile).

Nice location between Chatham and Harwich

We enjoyed our stay on Melody Lane in south Chatham. We enjoyed going to the restaurants in Harwich and the Red River Beach was very close. We spent one rainy day exploring Chatham. Both towns were easily accessible and the grocery stores were near by. A few pointers are that the mattress in the master bedroom was tough on our older backs and you may want to bring a few dish towels. One of the beach chairs could be replaced as it was very rusted. Overall - we were very pleased with our stay.

Enjoyed our stay

This was a very nice property. Just note that you must bring your own linens which may be an issue if your traveling by air. We did find the mattress very hard and uncomfortable. The location was great and property was well stocked. We had an enjoyable stay.

Lovely home, great location

We have been visiting the Cape with our children for almost 20 years, this was our first time renting this home. The house was very clean, roomy, comfortable and in a nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed using the ping pong table and the quiet deck out back. Great owners, who were very responsive. The location is close to the beach, and easy proximity to both Chatham and Harwichport.

Excellent Cape House

Just a great house in an awesome location. Very private, and short drives to downtown Chatham and Harwichport. Pleasant St beach was a little to far a walk for our young children (5 and 3) but we drove the the beach multiple times on weekday afternoons (in August) and able to park every time. House was clean, well cared for and more than enough space for our family of 4. Gerry was excellent host. When we embarrassing my locked ourselves out with the keys on the kitchen counter, he was understanding and got the house unlocked within minutes. Will definitely try to stay here again at future Cape Cod trips.

Chatham in June!

Perfect location with easy travel time to all of Cape Cod. House was spotless, much love and care in maintaining the property. House decorated beach and so cute. Short walk to a small beach on the sound. Loved everything about this house!

Wonderful Cape Cod getaway

We enjoyed our week in Chatham on Melody Lane! The quiet and peaceful property enabled us to relax and unwind while enjoying all that Chatham had to offer with beaches, shopping and golf all in close proximity! The home was lovely with plenty of space to spread out or spend quality time together! Highly recommend this lovely property!

Relaxing home away from home

Anfitrión: Gerry Doyle

Cindy is quite proud to be from Trumbull CT. She is a loyal Holy Cross grad. Gerry grew up in Andover MA and graduated from Annapolis then served 11 years flying fighters and reconnaissance in the Marine Corps before they met in grad school. Madeline is 9 and a tremendous little athlete - with soccer, lacrosse, ice hockey, swimming and dance, she keeps her parents in shape too!. Evelyn is five and maybe the happiest little girl on the planet! She also plays soccer, gymnastics and ice hockey.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We have had some fantastic vacations but the Cape is where we escape to most for our family get-aways. We truly discovered Chatham a few years ago when we stumbled onto Ridgevale Beach, maybe the best kids beach anywhere. After a few more summers here on the fabulous Chatham beaches and very close to the waves and dunes of the Cape Cod National Seashore, we decided this was the place for our vacation home.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

What makes our house unique is the closeness of the beach and the quiet of the neighborhood. There is not a safer road for the kids to ride their bikes on, nor a better location for quiet and for spotting local wildlife. We provide mountatin bikes for the parents to join their kids on the bike trail or riding to the beach. Plenty of beach gear, a great deck with a charcoal grille to cook up the fish you caught yourself or bought at the Chatham Fish pier or Chatham Fish and Lobster.
