Stayed here for a long weekend with two other couples. The property is a little over a hour away from RMNP. Our stay was great! Hilly dirt road to the property- AWD/SUV recommended even in the summer. Gold Hill is a unique and historical town- just about a 0.5 mile walk up the road. Property is quiet and has great views! We saw several deer too. Very clean but towels did smell odd.

a hidden gem in an old mining town! hot tubbing under the moon, a sauna overlooking the mountains, and a thoughtfully designed three storey sanctuary that makes you feel right at home - my only regret is we did not stay longer :)

Wonderful property. Secluded with all the amenities. Very clean and well maintained.Cute town up the road or Boulder is about 25 minutes down the mountain. Thanks for sharing your home

The house was cozy and just like being home. The ride up to it is a bit to get used to as a Floridian but ended up being my favorite part of the trip! The view literally can’t be beat and the short break up the mountain past the cemetery at sunset was spectacular! My family of 5 with my 2 adult kids and a 16 year old loved how close Pearl Street was. The privacy of mountain top was great for us as we’re from a large property and used to our space

Plenty of amenities in the kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms were sufficient and well stocked. The host was responsive to our needs. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful and interesting home and floor plan

Close to Gold Hill, a most unique historic mining town. Took a lovely high elevation hike in the Brainard Lake Recreation Area.

Beautiful property. Unique home with gorgeous views. Roads getting to it left a bit to be desired but that's what you get when you want a secluded place to stay.

We really enjoyed this unique mountain home. The property was well maintained and had great amenities. The living spaces were comfy and cozy. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use and clean. We loved the available compost and recycling. We booked this place in the mountains to escape the heat of Denver. I failed to note the property has no A/C, but with the 8400 ft. elevation it wasn’t a problem! The hot tub was perfect in the cool early mornings. We didn’t use the sauna but it looked clean and practically brand new. The massage chair on the third floor was awesome! There was also a window up there that turns into a little balcony for taking in the view! Very cool! This place would be great for a small group or family especially during the winter when you can fire up the wood burning stove and get cozy after a day on the slopes of Eldora ski resort. The house has a nice entry with plenty of storage space for winter gear plus a bathroom with a shower right inside the front door with more gear storage. The upstairs bathrooms were big, clean, and quite nice. Although, the shower in the en-suite bathroom in the main bedroom was a little tricky to turn off completely, so be aware. Brainard Lake Recreation area is a short drive away. We enjoyed hiking and canoeing around the lakes. Very beautiful area! A 4-wheel vehicle would be helpful (but not absolutely necessary) as the roads around this property are not paved. We would stay here again!

We enjoy sharing our home with people who appreciate its amenities - come back in the winter to do a personal retreat and catch the sauna when its snowing outside - such a treat! Some people do the sauna and go roll out in the snow on the deck - probably the same people who do ice plunges . We appreciated that you left the lodge in great condition and welcome you back anytime!

Wedding weekend

I booked this location to stay with friends before my wedding in Boulder. We loved this place! The property owners literally thought of everything! The whole house is stocked with plenty of amenities. They gave detailed instructions on how to use things and where items were located. The views were amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the patio with a glass of champagne every night. If you stay here you have to stop by the General Store in Gold Hill for their homemade pizza. It was delicious! The only thing I would say is I was expecting a pull out couch but it was actually a chair and it wasn’t big enough for an adult to sleep comfortably. We were able to find some cushions and made a make shift bed on the floor. Three of the rooms have a queen or a full which is great for couples but we had guests that did not want to share a bed so I think making one room two twins would be more accommodating. But overall it was a wonderful experience and I’d like to visit again in the winter.

Beautiful property with stunning views and close to a very quaint little community, Gold Hill. They do a great job of supplying some basics as if you forget anything, it is 30 minutes into Boulder. Great location for walks, hiking, stunning views and getting away from civilization. We had 5 adults, child and an infant. It accommodated all of us very well. We did get to see some deer, chipmunks and rabbits. Didn't see any bears, but it appeared one tried to open the door on the vehicle. The mountain air and cool evenings were just awesome. The drive up the mountain is pretty intense and the views were really awesome. We loved every minute of it.

Gold Hill cabin

Property and view were excellent. Only about 1/3 of windows had screens so you were either very warm inside or had a lot of bees and other insects inside. Property only had three sets of towels for four people. Exterior landscaping could use attention to improve first impressions.

Great early fall break!

We loved our stay! The house was comfortable and exactly as advertised. The local restaurant in Gold Hill was excellent. Easy drive into Boulder as well. Overall great experience and we would stay again!

Perfect Getaway

It was a wonderful house to truly disconnect and enjoy the breeze and the views, while still being pretty close to Boulder. This was our favorite part of our Colorado trip and we would definitely come back!

Excellent!

We had a fantastic stay. It's a peaceful, relaxing place in the mountains, close to nature. A really nice place to take some time off. Hiking and nature very close - could just walk out the door or drive to the mountains. A short nice walk from Gold Hill, a cozy village with a good restaurant.
