Host was very responsive for questions about the house. Forgetting something can be a real issue, as stores aren’t always close. Host was helpful and house had many things in the kitchen cabinets that we could use-and we left a few items too.Kitchen was well appointed - large fridge, plenty of glasses, cups, utensils (many that you will likely need and not pack) and plates. We brought cascade pods for the dishwasher but they had some there. We left ours for others, as previous guests had paid it forward.Beds were comfy but if you have a favorite pillow I would bring it. A strange bed is one thing, but the wrong pillow makes sleeping even more difficult. The fire pit (solo stove) was nice, and we were encouraged to bring wood as they didn’t have a stockpile. Again, good to know before we arrived. The property was well separated from nearby houses and neighborhood was quiet. Heating was efficient and easy to use and the gas fireplace was very nice. Five minutes to Franconia notch state park, so short hikes (Artist’s Bluff) and the Flume Gorge are easy to get to. We’d hope to get to the Iron Furnace Brew Pub or Reklis Brewery but games, cards, puzzles, food and drink and Hot Wheels kept us busy and happy. This was the first family getaway (ages 62 to 4) and we’d revisit this place if the opportunity arises.
