This was the perfect getaway with a toddler! The house was fantastic, and had enough amenities that we didn’t need to pack a ton of equipment. The resort property was so well kept, easy to navigate, and offered so many options for activities. Lake Kai the perfect size to paddle board, while Lake Michigan was less than a 10 minute walk away. Check in was at exactly 4 pm, so I would recommend contacting the property if an earlier time is needed. Would absolutely recommend!

Family trip to Beachwalk

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had never been to this area and were pleasantly surprised. The grandkids loved the Lake Michigan beach more than our previous trips to the ocean and played for hours in the waves. The pool is relatively small but we spent almost all our time at the beach. The easy access to pickleball courts, a tennis court, basketball court, paddle boats, kayaks, and paddle boards gave us options throughout our stay to be active outdoors. Michigan City is not a fancy resort town but we enjoyed a few hours at the zoo and the pavilion and dune climb at the state park was only 25 minutes away. This isn’t a five star resort experience. Beachwalk is 30+ years old and showing its age a little but this resort community is a comfortable, family friendly experience that we would definitely recommend. We loved having a relatively short drive from central Illinois to get there and to get home rather than spend the whole day flying or driving each way. We did rent a golf cart and I would recommend that for families who want the added convenience of getting around the property (plus it was another highlight of the trip for the grandkids as we took frequent rides around the property).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at 10 beachwalk properties over the last 23 years. Beachy Blliss is the first one to feel like you were in a home not a rental. The kitchen was well stocked and items were of good quality. We enjoyed the screened in porch and bed swing. This is the first house to have a working tv in each bedroom.

The only thing I would change is adding a golfcart to the house :)

The staff went above and beyond to help whenever needed. We loved the porch bed swing!

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I stayed at Beachwalk this summer, and we loved it so much that we decided to take three of our children and their kids for the long weekend. Our family loved it! There were so many activities for everyone. Beachy Bliss was perfect; we especially loved the screened porch and the bed swing. The only thing we would ask in the future is that they supply more towels. One per person doesn't work when there are children involved! We look forward to our next stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House and property were very nice and as described on website. Our house was perfect for our family of 5. It did not include a golf cart which would have been fun but we still were able to walk and use the amenities. Wish there were more tennis courts. The one complaint I have is that 10am checkout is really early. Would have liked it to be noon like most hotels have.

The screen porch with the awesome swing at Beachy Bliss was a great place to sit and watch the grandkids play in the sand right out front. The location of the house was nice.

Great family getaway!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We brought our daughter and two friends who she just graduated with up 3.5 hours from central Illinois, along with my in-laws. It was perfect. We had a twin bed and her folks had a nice master suite with their own bathroom. The three girls had a perfect setup with two bunk beds. We spent our evenings on the screened in porch and my wife and I would lie out on the suspended daybed at night. It was a 5 minute walk to the pool and recreation area. Everyone loved it and the place was clean like brand new. The sandy front yard and beach feel helped us recharge ourselves over a four day weekend. House common areas were super clean and appliances all worked good. Turn the air conditioner on and it doesn’t take long to cool right off and we were there on some super hot days. Recommended!
