Great location, great home, great management

Property was as described, perfect stay, beautiful home and perfect view. Had everything you could ever want and owner was very accommodating to our dogs.

Great house for family & friends

Beautiful views of the river, a very clean and well-equipped house. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and communication with the house manager was excellent. I can only recommend staying here!

Gorgeous views and lovely well-stocked home

Spent weekend here to visit a student at Wesleyan about 20 min away. Secluded, peaceful with beautiful views. This house has everything we needed! Even on a rainy weekend the location was perfect. Can’tWait to come back and enjoy the beautiful outdoor deck some day!

Hart Family Christmas Get-t0-gether

Very nice stay. Only disappointment was the lack of a hot tub. Otherwise a perfect venue for our group.

Our stay was amazing the home and setting were both stunning We had more than ample room. The kitchen and the laundry room were pluses. The location was in the middle of the state. We felt spoiled. We had a memorable week as a result.

Silver Lining on a sad trip

A number of friends and I stayed here to be nearby our friends wake and memorial service. It was a really nice homely, quiet space that had plenty of room for everyone and the view over the river is gorgeous. Would love to come back sometime for more uplifting circumstances

FANTASTIC

Really far away from everyone .. great view of the water .. very spacious.. had penalty of rooms for all of us .. great experience and took full advantage of all of the yard .. love the porch set up !

Great location and awesome views

Great location and beautiful views. Plenty of space. Negative - the place smelled very musty during our stay. We tried to air it out - that helped a little. But, still a musty smell.

Thank you for your review. As for any musty issues we were told by the company we hired this it was due to a very wet season, almost three weeks of straight rain we had prior to your visit. The ground has been heavily saturated which caused excessive dampness in all the surrounding areas. We have since installed a dehumidifier to resolve any future issues concerning this. We will continue to monitor it closely. Thank you again for your comments :-)

Takes Your Breath Away

Beautiful house, sitting high and overlooking the Connecticut River. Can't imagine a more beautiful setting. Very large kitchen, great for cooking in with friends. Even has an adjacent helicopter pad (although it's $4k to go from Hartford airport to the house, 1-way!). Had a great time.

Great family get away

My husband and our adult children spent a wonderful long weekend at this beautiful, spacious, clean, and well appointed property. It was a perfect location to gather and enjoy each other’s company. The deck is especially stunning with amazing views. Although there are plenty of restaurants nearby, we did our own cooking in the spacious kitchen. Another feature we enjoyed was the ability to be all together without ever feeling cramped. And the host was easily available for any questions. We highly recommend this lovely property!

We had a great time/experience

The house was a perfect place to celebrate my husbands Birthday> loved the layout of the house and the views!!! The stairs down to the river were under construction and it made it a bit scary, especially for kids. would of liked a heads up on that. overall a great experience and would love to go back

Unbeatable View

We are just off our annual girls trip and enjoyed this beautiful view for 4 nights. The outdoor space is spectacular ~ the view, the deck, firepit and riverfront beach are outstanding. We were very fortunate to have amazing weather and therefore spent almost the entire weekend outdoors. The house itself is tired and certainly has its share of quirks, if we had to be indoors all weekend we would have enjoyed the stay as much. The owner was very responsive to any issues we had and was ready with a solution to almost everything we needed. Thank you for a memorable trip!

Family Thanksgiving

The house and views are beautiful. We had 9 of us including 2 5 year olds and a 2 year old. We made a full Thanksgiving dinner in the well equipped kitchen. The house has very large "public" spaces on the main floor, which was great for our group. Had a great stay everything we needed was near by and there are literally no neighbors once you reach the house. The front porch and fire pit are great although pretty cold when we were there. My only suggestion is that for a group our size a few more comfortable chairs inside would be appreciated.

AMAZING Property

This home is incredible!! The view is gorgeous, the big porch is relaxing and had a lovely, gas fire pit. The home was comfortable and in perfect condition when we got there. The kitchen had everything you need and a convenient island. We also enjoyed dipping our feet in the water and taking in the view. Great sunsets. There is also plenty to do in the area for dinner, breweries, wineries, etc. We enjoyed Arrigoni Winery down the road during our stay with live music. Dean was an excellent host. He greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you, Dean, for sharing your beautiful home!

Amazing Views! Amazing outdoor space large enough for family & friends.

The property was beautiful with lots of space for family & friends to gather. The views of the river were amazing. When we weren't on the water, we spent the majority of our stay out on the back deck. It was really quite spectacular. The walk to the river is not for the faint of heart. Lots of stairs, many of which were not finished and a little scary, to be honest. But, the beach at he bottom made it worth the trek. The water access with our 28ft pontoon boat was so convenient! The house was comfortable with a well equipped kitchen with nice appliances. The bathrooms were clean with fixtures, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful views

Very nice large house with huge deck and beautiful views. Two days before arrival owner notified me that stairs to beach were under construction but still would have full access. Stairs (178 of them) and temporary railing were very shaky and did not feel safe. There were also tools and construction debris on and around them. Our main reason for choosing this house was for ‘beachfront’ access, so not being safe to use to get down to water was disappointing. A couple of people in our group went all the way down and said there was also construction debris on small beach. If we knew we were not going to be able to use beach, we would have chosen less expensive accommodations.
