We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Black Oak Point. Not only is the home beautiful and clean, it has all the comforts and amenities needed to truly enjoy your trip from the start. Every detail was thoughtfully planned to ensure guests feel welcome! The local guide and recommendation list were also extremely helpful in navigating a new area. I truly appreciated everything Siarra did ahead of our stay to make sure we were well taken care of. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to making another trip back soon!

It was an amazing stay the house had everything we could have possibly needed and more! We would absolutely recommend and stay again! The host is very responsive the instructions and house info was easy to find in several places throughout the house! 10/10!

We had such a wonderful stay! The house was perfect for our group of three families with plenty of space for everyone to spread out while still feeling cozy together.We rented a boat one day from Cappy's, having them deliver it, spent hours swimming, played on the lily pads, and made the most of everything the lake had to offer. The large porches were one of our favorite features, whether we were enjoying morning coffee or winding down in the evenings.The house itself was incredibly well stocked with everything we needed and had games/stuff for kids. It was clear the owners put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home. The stairs down to the water are steep but that's most all the houses on the lake and these weren't steep compared to some! We'd absolutely stay here again!

Family Vacation

We had a group of 13 to Celebrate a high school and college graduation. We had a great time. The house was a perfect fit for us!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this property! The place was even better than the photos—immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect, offering both tranquility and easy access to local attractions. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again. Amazing!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is beautiful. Plenty of room for a large group. My teen and her friends loved the spaces, especially the game room downstairs. Great boathouse with swim mat. Close to stores, boat rental, and restaurants. We will definitely be back.

Smith Lake

My husband and I brought our kids and some of their friends to stay. Everyone loved and enjoyed this beautiful home so much. There are plenty of spots to sleep a big group comfortably. There are also several different little sitting areas which makes it feel like everyone has a space. The home is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities you need. Sitting outside on the beautiful deck and drinking your coffee, looking at the lake is such a peaceful way to start your day. The kitchen is fully stocked although you can get grocery and food delivery which is always a must for me. The two story dock is an awesome place to hang out, tan, and swim. Such a peaceful, beautiful setting. We will for sure be back!

Family Fun on the Lake

The property is located very conveniently off the highway. It was completely spotless upon arrival. The decor and furnishings were perfect and made for an incredibly comfortable and cozy interior. The kitchen was very well stocked with almost everything you need. Despite the listing mentioning only having a starter pack of everything, the 6 of us did just fine for a week with what was provided! Everyone’s favorite place was lake. The dock is down a very quiet cove but you can’t see much of the lake from the house. We brought our kayak to explore a little more and rented a boat one day from the nearby(11 min. drive) Cappy’s Boat Rentals. I highly recommend exploring this extensive lake. Our kids loved spending hours jumping off the top of the dock, swimming, and playing on the lily pad. The adults appreciated the zero gravity chairs stored on the dock for sunbathing. This house was wonderful for our family and really provided a peaceful and fun place to vacation.

Great property. Extremely clean and great provisions (which have been hard in the past for our large family in the kitchen). Enjoyed the small treasures like snacks and s’mores. Siarra was very prompt in her responses and easy to get a hold of and was able to direct us quickly to answers. Only thing I would appreciate/change is when landscaping/cleaners come that they would clean cob webs off of porches and stairways and maybe provide a kayak or two (LOVED the double decker dock though!)

During your stay, we provided information for a local kayak rental company that delivers directly to the property, and we’re always happy to help guests coordinate those rentals. Regarding the cobwebs, our cleaning and landscaping teams routinely remove them, but as a lake home surrounded by the woods, they can reappear very quickly, oftentimes within hours, especially during the warmer months. We work hard to keep the home looking its best and appreciate your understanding. Thank you again for choosing Black Oak Point.
