Visit to catch up with friends

Very nice, clean and comfortable accommodations, well appointed. Would definitely stay here again. Host is very responsive and accommodating.

The house seemed nice as we opened the door but then there was broken beer bottle glass on the floor so had to sweep the living room before we could take shoes off after a 12hr drive. The door knob to a closet was broken. The master toilet paper holder was barely hanging on the wall when we got there. We also had an awful smell in the kitchen that was coming from the sink. After we checked it out we discovered the garbage disposal was broken so the smell was from the people before us and the food they had cooked. I contacted the host and made him aware of the broken door knob, glass on the floor and the broken garbage disposal and the smell we were dealing with. I was told that he would check with the handyman and never heard anything back. We dealt with the smell the whole time and the nasty food that would fill the sink every time we used the dishwasher. I didnt expect anyone over the weekend but once the weekdays started I thought we would. Also, the cameras are a downfall. When I'm on vacation I dont want to feel watched the whole time. Didnt know about the cameras until we got the check in info. Some of the pool toys in the outside pool box is moldy and so is the swing cover. The outdoor area needed cleaning. I had also messaged and asked if we could possibly check in any earlier bc we had been driving for 12hrs and got no response. We rented this place for our yearly vacation and to celebrate my birthday with my kids. Was alittle disappointed in this whole experience.
