We loved our extended stay at this warm country cottage nestled in the woods of Weston. Close to the Merritt Parkway and the Post Rd we had easy access to surrounding towns including Westport, New Canaan, Wilton, Fairfield and Norwalk. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Richard and Nicci are friendly and attentive hosts.

Very cute cottage, super clean, end of cul-de-sac quiet area.Full kitchen, 2 comfortable bedrooms, great living space.Responsive and friendly hosts.We had a lovely stay with our pup; excellent walking trail within 5 minute drive of the property was a plus!

Daughters Graduation from Fairfield

This was the perfect spot if you are attending any function in Fairfield. The house was great, location was great and Richard and his wife could not have been better hosts.

Lovely hosts, peaceful surroundings

We loved our time at the cottage. It has everything you need to be comfortable and content. The river is beautiful and the hosts are very accommodating and welcoming. Perfectly located for optimal peace while being close to two universities and Westport. Hope to visit again soon!

We had a wonderful stay and this house did not disappoint! The home is very well appointed and has everything you need. Property is very clean and would recommend this home to anyone visiting this area. Will definitely be coming back!

River Cottage Review

Highly recommend. We visited the River Cottage on our Anniversary trip to Connecticut! The cottage is quaint, relaxing and peaceful. The location is beautiful and convenient to hiking, parks, dining and shopping. The hosts are kind, respectful and welcoming! We cannot wait to stay here again.

My hosts Richard and Nicki were warm and welcoming.I was staying alone and they were attentive and generous. The cottage was also warm and welcoming, comfortable and immaculate. I especially loved my mornings in the cozy porch with coffee and a view of stunning foliage. Enjoyed the nearby trails and proximity to friends and family. The perfect place to pause and reset.

Perfect little cottage for 4 adults

The cottage is a very nice and private space with two good sized bedrooms, full kitchen, and great bathroom. Living room is very comfortable a well. Extremely clean space. Richard def went above and beyond.

Cozy for college

We have visited the river cottage onto occasions. It is cozy, clean, and feels just like home. The amenities are great and all the small touches make it really enjoyable. The homeowners are wonderful. They are friendly and helpful. Looking forward to staying there again when we visit Our daughter in college.

River Cottage Respite

Charming cottage in bucolic setting. Clean comfortable haven for my husband and self. Forested roadways put us in the heart of Fall’s glory. Nearby find hiking trails, lakes and the vibrant town of Westport, CT. Owners were so gracious! Check in a breeze.
