Enjoy our cozy cottage in the desirable Reeveston neighborhood. This 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home has all you need for a comfortable and quiet retreat.

This is our home away from home, so we invested in new super comfortable beds, fast Wifi to keep up with work or play, an exercise space, and an office perfect for remote work.

We're dog-friendly; pending breed and temperament approval.

I absolutely love creating a welcoming environment for guests and recommending local restaurants and activities. I hope that you enjoy your experience at the Scholars' Cottage!

Beautiful home , very, very clean. Excellent communication with the host. Will definitely rebook if we visit Richmond. Location to restaurants was perfect. Very quiet neighborhood.

The Scholar's Cottage was one of the most well-rounded VRBO homes we've stayed in. It is a charming, old home with character, lovingly updated where it matters for comfort, in a quiet, green and safe neighborhood. The bed (King) was very comfortable, and the linens and towels were high quality. The home was very clean. Keurig coffee maker with Keurig pods in the kitchen for your morning coffee. We only spent two nights but would definitely consider staying there again if we are in RIchmond. Highly recommend!

A beautiful house in a great location. Check in was super easy. The house is very clean and dog friendly. My wife and I, and our adult daughter brought her dog, we spent 4 nights and enjoyed it so much. It was great to walk around the neighborhood, and our daughter's dog loved it as well. So happy it is a pet friendly house. Mara was very responsive and communication was great. It is in a great central location, and a lot of restaurants and stores are close by. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. It was warm, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, making us feel comfortable the moment we arrived. The house is well-stocked with plenty of amenities, which made our stay easy and enjoyable. The location is also fantastic. Close to everything we needed while still being peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming getaway.

Hidden gem in Richmond

We are from Richmond originally and come back to visit family often. Definitely will be back. Great stay, great host, very accommodating, and clean. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Charming home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mara was very communicative and the house was very cozy and charming. It was a delight to walk around the neighborhood and see all the beautiful historic homes. Our group of 5 adults had a great stay and we were able to bring our dog, which was great!

We stayed 2 nights for our Earlham college reunion. It was a decent location but not as close to campus as we hoped. However the neighborhood was beautiful and it was walking distance to downtown. We enjoyed the fire pit.

Overnight

My husband, daughter and her 3 boys and dog were traveling home from vacation in New York and stayed here overnight. Everything was so comfortable and easy. I would definitely recommend this beautiful home away from home.

Surprise Gem!

This property was a last minute, need a place quick, booking for us. We just stayed overnight and only considered Richmond, Indiana, based on travel time and not as a destination. This is a great property in a great location . The owners are quick in communication, clear on the process, and friendly. I'm now wondering when we can make a quick weekend trip to Richmond and this property!

This was a lovely home in a beautiful location. My friends and I came into town for a HS reunion and we hadn't seen each other for decades. The house was very comfortable and just walking through the neighborhood was a treat too. Communication with the property owner was seamless. Not only was there a binder with information regarding the home and local options but I was always sent an electronic version so that I could have it on my phone while driving around. Highly recommend this home if your visiting Richmond or need a place for your guests to stay.

Very Cozy!

Loved the old charm of this property. Was a slight inconvenience being woke up 2 times in the middle of the night by water intrusion alarms in the basement but the owner was prompt the next day to get this handled. Second night slept like a baby and was great to have so many amenities to use to stay in and cook opposed to having more cost to eat out. The owner made sure to represent the property well, and set you up for success letting you know with pets there is no fenced area. Will definitely stay again should we find another dog show in this area. Thank you!
