Each bedroom has an attached bathroom and its own flat screen TV. There is also a fun, kid-friendly bunk area with its own flat screen TV/DVD player.

Two decks for relaxing and alfresco dining have great ocean and lake views. This house is immaculately clean and professionally decorated with tranquil tropical colors and furnishings. There is a well equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and every appliance and gadget you'll need to enjoy dinners at home or you can walk or drive just 5 minutes to restaurants of every imaginable cuisine. Extra amenities for this property include: Wi-fi internet, built-in hair dryers in every bathroom, gas grill and park style charcoal grill adjacent to pool, hot tub, highchair, port-a-crib and portable baby swing. Covered parking for 2 cars; driveway parking for an additional 2. Shuffleboard court and equipment on premises. Beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and sand toys. Great beach house!

This was a perfect setting for our family gathering. Close to the beach and all the local attractions, yet set away in a nice oceanside community. Owners were very responsive too. It had everything we were looking for.

Awesome Vacation

The property was spacious and clean. It was located right across the road from beach access. The pool was great. Our children/grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the time spent in the pool. There was 11 of us and there was plenty of room for eating, socializing, and just relaxing. Molly and Paul are great hosts. They quickly responded to any questions that we had. We definitely would recommend this place.

Great location and property.

Loved our stay at the Mango on the Deck. Loved the space, pool and hot tub. Great view of the ocean from both decks but top deck was the best view of all. Really appreciated the beach chairs available to the 6 of us, worked our great. Walk to beach less a minute. Highly recommend. Thank You Paul & Molly.

Awesome time!

We had a great time together. The golf cart was fun and a great convenience. The pool is nice sized for a private home. Paul and Molly were great to work with and we highly recommend renting from them. They actually have 3 properties in Surfside.

July vacation at Surfside Beach

The house was in a great location very quiet neighborhood and minimal traffic which was very nice since we had small children A short walk to the beach It was very clean Both outdoor balconies were nicely furnished and had a great view The owners were very good to work with There was an issue with some of the outside amenities but after contacting them the issue was resolved I wish there had been 2 sets of bath towels for each guest We had to do laundry quite a bit With 11 of us the downstairs living room area was a little tight Overall a very nice home for our family to enjoy our time at the beach

Immaculate and very close to beach!

We were amazed with the spaciousness and cleanliness of the house! From the ocean view off of the master bedroom deck to the nice sized and clean pool, our party of twelve never felt crowded. This house is right next to a beach access point so we were in the ocean with just a three minute walk. We will definitely be back.

Everything We Needed, Wanted, and More!

We got to stay at Above the Mango Deck for our annual family beach vacation. Grandparents, parents, and children (even an infant) had plenty of space to be together and still had space to get away for alone time. The owners thought of everything and were so easy to talk to! Can’t beat the location! Two thumbs up!!

Fun Family Getaway!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed “Above the Mango Deck.” Excellent location - does not get any more convenient in terms of beach access without the price of oceanfront. Plenty of space for our family of 9. House was clean and stocked with all essentials for the week. Really enjoyed having coffee and evening cocktails on the porches with views of the ocean. Pool area was great, with extra storage for beach items. Owners were very responsive to any questions we had. Overall, a fantastic trip and we will look to return in the future!

Memories made at Over the Mango

My family and I had a fabulous time at this beach house. We were less than five minutes to the beach. The house had plenty of room for our family of ten, and every bedroom had a bathroom. They kept the pool clean for us and were very responsive with any questions we had. We would absolutely go back!

Family vacation

Beautiful home, short walk to the family friendly (not overcrowded) ocean. Pool and hot tub were perfect for our group of two families with children ages 5- 12. Bring bikes- we rode all around Surfside. Also is a short drive to Myrtle Beach if you want further entertainment. It was easy to contact the hosts with any questions! Plus they gave great directions/ recommendations for our stay. Five star vacation !!!

Wonderful home and location

Our family of 6 adults and 3 children had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Above the Mango Deck. Location was great since it’s was just steps away from the beach access and added bonus of a lifeguard on duty. Home was tastefully decorated with everything you’d need. Tons of beach supplies were provided. The kids loved the pool and playing shuffleboard. Thank you to the owners the Ritchey’s for being so kind and accommodating. We hope to visit again in the future.

Great location

The house was great and in a great location. My kids loved the pool and hot tub and visiting the lake that is just one block over. Easy walk to the beach, close to a few grocery stores and River City. It is just a short drive over to Broadway at the Beach and you really appreciate visiting the crowded area over there in Myrtle, but not actually staying in that crowded area. Surfside is much more relaxed. We loved sitting on the decks in the morning and afternoon. Plenty of room in the house and it is decorated very well.

Clean and close to the beach

The property was clean and in better condition then the pictures. You could smell how clean it was when we walked in. Locations was great for beach access and was easy enough to walk to the pier for dinner with the kids. The backyard pool/hot tub is a great set up...The only draw back might be that their is no back deck overlooking the pool. The pool gets shade in the afternoon which is perfect after a day at the beach. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with during the booking process.

Location is excellent.

Location was perfect. Customer service with owners was great. Property itself was not clean. The bathroom tubs were dirty. The outside pool area was not clean. The hot tub had green algae on the sides.

Family Reunion

We had a fantastic stay at Above the Mango Deck. The entire house was clean and well equipped when we arrived. When they say all you need to bring is beach towels, clothes and food they are right. There were 4 families staying there and we had plenty of room. Loved having beach chairs, an umbrella, pool toys, and a grill. The location is great too, so close the ocean that you can walk back and forth. It was a blessing having a pool too since there were a lot of jellyfish in the ocean and some in our group enjoyed the hot tub too. Molly is great to work with. She kept in touch periodically before our trip and again afterwards. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and would definitely rent it again. Can't say enough about it. Our week was awesome!

A perfect beach stay!

We loved our stay at Above the Mango Deck! It was absolutely perfect in every way. The location is wonderful. Literally a few steps to the beach and the views from the porches were lovely. You have the ocean on one side and a lake view the other way. Beautiful palm trees all around the property. The neighborhood was great. We had several lovely walks around the area and just so pretty, peaceful and family friendly. As for the house itself, wonderful! Such attention to detail...Home away from home....Beautifully decorated and perfect attention to detail. Both the pool and hot tub were fantastic additions to our stay. The owners made everything easy and clear on instructions and anything else you might need. They even gave us great food and entertainment guides. Really went the extra mile. We absolutely loved our stay, made really great memories and hope to be back!

Awesome home, great location!

This home is just lovely! It’s so close to the beach, has a private pool/hot tub and is super clean. We fit 10 people very comfortably. The owners are very welcoming and have stocked the house with games and movies and provided us with beach chairs and beach toys. Our family had the best time and everyone enjoyed the house almost as much as the beach! Thank you Molly and Paul for sharing your house with us!

Great stay!

Easy check in, property owners wonderful to work with. Last minute, due to weather, We wanted pool heated and they made it happen. Golf cart dropped to house for use during stay and picked up!! Conveniently located to use golf cart to the beach, restaurants, golf courses and grocery store!

Summer Family Vacation

This is our second summer family vacation at Surfside Beach and we had a wonderful time! There are many advantages to staying at Above the Mango Deck - plenty of room for a family of 4, the owners were very accommodating and responsive (had a last minute request to have the pool heated due to the unseasonably lower temps and heater was turned on the next morning!), the house was very clean and had all the necessary towels/linens, each bedroom had an adjoining bathroom, any of the bedrooms can easily accommodate a full size crib if needed like in our case, one of the best features was the distance to the beach (a very easy walk with 2 toddlers!), the location is an easy golf cart ride to restaurants and the park, the pool and hot tub were great to spend time in after a day at the beach, and the owners had chairs and an umbrella available on the beach every day for us to use (set up by the lifeguards but unfortunately were taken down at 4pm). Just some minor personal preferences of things that may be helpful to know especially if you have little ones - the stairs and doors are a bit creaky so if you have light sleepers this may be an issue, one of the tub plugs upstairs took some finagling to keep it down and both tubs upstairs took a while to fill up, the pool is concrete and can be a bit rough on your feet and knees, there is no privacy with the outdoor shower therefore making it a bit harder to really wash away all the sand especially on little ones (the shower is located on the side of the house facing the neighboring complex's parking lot), fireworks went off nightly granted it was right before 10pm but with little ones going down at 8pm this was a bit of a nuisance, the dumpster for the next door complex is right next to the driveway and can be heard if someone slams it loudly and the city does a weekly pick up at 130am which gave us quite a scare early one morning, and if we would have had the grandparents stay it would have been nice to have the second king sized bed downstairs versus having 2 king sized beds upstairs. As mentioned the previous is just some personal preferences but overall it's a lovely home with wonderful owners and an ideal location and you can't go wrong having your vacation at Surfside Beach!

We're land-locked Ohioans who dream year-round of spending time at the beach and have found that no matter what the season, the mild climate and beautiful lake and ocean views allow us to unwind and spend quality time together.

We've been blessed to have been able to travel and see the world and yet find our beach house the haven we all long to visit where we can spend time together.
