Lakeside Escape-Little Hills is located on beautiful spring fed, sand bottom Little Hills lake in Wautoma. Excellent swimming & boating. Enjoy the beauty of Central Wisconsin's woods and lakefront from the comfort of our three bedroom, 2 bath vacation home . Two spacious decks, Hot tub, Sauna, oversize Fireplace, waterfront pier, bonfire pit, paddleboat, row boat, canoe, kayaks, paddleboard, rent the pontoon boat. The home is decorated with lovely furnishings making the atmosphere perfect for your getaway. We are dog friendly, maximum of 2 dogs unless approved. The house includes a well equipped kitchen, gas grill with propane provided, washer & dryer, smart TVs, and plenty of outdoor furnishings to complete the decks. The view of the lake from the livingroom, deck, and hot tub is enough to melt your busy heart and get you to step back for a while to relax. This charming year-round home is perfect for family, friends, retreats, or romantic celebrations. Perfect for all seasons.

Winter Wonderland: Just 7 miles away is Nordic Mountain ski area. This ski resort offers runs for the entire family while encompassing a wonderful family atmosphere. Nordic Mountain also has an awesome snow-tubing hill for those who don't ski/board. Other areas include Granite Peak and Cascade Mountain.
Waushara County has wonderful snowmobile trails throughout the county. The area boasts of 96 lakes for ice fishing, skating, snowshoeing. The local marinas can outfit you with bait and tackle.

Many challenging golf courses located nearby. There are 2 golf coursers within 4 miles of Lakesdie Escape-Little Hills.; Waushara Country Club and Two Oaks Golf course. There are also many more courses located within 30 minutes of Wautoma.

There are fall activities at Flyte Family Farms in Wautoma; pumpkin picking, corn maze, pumpkin canon, and more.

Many Christmas tree farms are located in our county. Plan you stay around choosing, cutting, or just purchasing your beautiful tree. Crafts and Holiday items sold as well.

Lovely shops include Shasta Daisy, the Nest, Waushara Wildflower, Antiques and more.
The large Princeton Flea Market is open from April to October each year.

Amish Country is 10 minutes away: quilt shop, candy store, furniture shop, greenhouse.

Wild Rose Fish Hatchery: feed the huge brown trout and learn about many fish raised at the large hatchery.

Breweries and Wineries: Lunchcreek Winery in Neshkoro, and the Pine River Winery in Pine River.
Hinder Brewery in Waupaca, Pabst Brewery tours in Stevens Point.

The steps down to the lake are steeper than they appear in the photos. The house is nice except there should be a warning of some sort for the step down to the living room.

Our family enjoyed a relaxing weekend at this lake home! We enjoyed the view while using the hot tub and also enjoyed using the kayaks, paddle boards, and pedal boat. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking equipment and the grill was easy to use. After a great meal at Silvercryst Supper Club just a short drive down the road, we relaxed by a campfire. We hope to come back again!

Great place to escape to for my birthday with my partner and dog!The hosts were incredibly welcoming and were prepping the property when we arrived. They took the time to give us a quick rundown of things, share recommendations for nearby spots, and make sure we had everything we needed for our stay.There is also a binder filled with helpful information about the home, amenities, and local recommendations, which made everything super easy and convenient.The hot tub, grill, and sauna became part of our daily routine, and we loved relaxing while taking in all the birds and the beautiful sunsets each evening. It was such a peaceful and memorable getaway, and we’d definitely love to come back.

This is a nice, well-equipped and comfortable place to stay. We didn't use the sauna or hot tub, but we did take long walks and go to the local restaurants. All good!Bed was very comfortable and house was clean. Communication was excellent. The only small downside was the sunken living room, especially coming out of the bedroom (with the king bed) at night to use the bathroom. A tripping hazard for older people, like us. But we really enjoyed our stay!

Great location on the lake , the side of the house where the fire pit is would have been nice to have more lighting otherwise the place was fantastic for a girls weekend!

Great getaway with beautiful lakeside views, comfortable seating area/living room and relaxing hot tub. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishware & cookware and it's an enjoyable space for cooking. Appliances are new and clean. We liked having all three bedrooms together on the main floor. We didn't try the sauna, but the hot tub was perfect on chilly March nights at 30-40 degrees outside. Not a lot of space for our dog to roam freely, so we took her for walks on a leash, which was nice on quiet, low traffic streets. March is still off season (which we expected). I think the property and lake community would be fun to experience during the summer.

Quick winter family trip

Was perfect for our family of 5 for a weekend getaway. Loved the hot tub and the house was cozy overall. Plenty of supper clubs in the area and Nordic Mountain was fun. Would love to visit in thr summer!

Weekend Getaway

This was a nice cozy place for a fall weekend getaway. Everything was nice and clean! The fireplace, hotub, and sauna were great. Very quiet.

A beautiful place to stay with family. Lots of amenities for water play. Kids had the time of their life. Connie was wonderful to work with and went the extra mile to bring us more outdoor chairs. There’s no dishwasher but we managed with paper plates. The exterior stairs and furniture need some paint and fire pit area could use some updating, but overall a great 5 days!

Absolute perfection

We loved everything about this property. The sunset views over the lake were gorgeous. The property was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. Even though we were right next to another house, it felt so private. Planning many future stays.

Perfect getaway

This was the perfect setting for our group of friends who have been best buddies for well over 50 years. We could relax and enjoy reminiscing without a care in the world. Lots of sunny windows with a view of the lake which was just beginning to thaw from its winter freeze. The cabin was both roomy and cozy.

We will keep coming back

Just a group of moms/ wives who needed a break. The new hot tub was so nice that we could all hang out in it together this time! The house is beautiful and the host is great! This was our 3rd time here and we WILL be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin with four adults and a dog. The cabin was very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with just about every amenity you could think of (the Alexa mentioned wasn’t there, but we didn’t miss it at all).We really enjoyed using the hot tub and sauna - both were very relaxing, and the view from the hot tub on the deck was fantastic. There were plenty of towels and blankets available, which was much appreciated.We did get snow during our stay, and it would have been nice to have access to the garage for parking. We were also hoping to use the fireplace, but the cabin stayed very warm, so we didn’t end up needing it. The only small suggestion we’d have is to add a nightlight or two for nighttime trips around the cabin.Booking and check-out were both very easy, and the host was responsive and communicative throughout our stay. Overall, a great place that we would happily recommend.

Lakeside Escape on Hills Lake, Wautoma

Property was as described, very clean and accommodating and had everything we needed. Rented a pontoon nearby which was a must, as the lake was super smooth and peaceful. THe VRBO owner did not really check in with us to see if we needed anything upon checkin, which would have been nice, but all went very well. We would consider returning to the same place or another one owned by the same people. Had a great time.

Great lakehouse, terrible communication

We thoroughly enjoyed the beach, deck, hot tub, sauna, and the most glorious lake views. The house was great! Unfortunately we had very poor communication with the property's management team. They were unorganized, rude, and untimely. For this reason, I would not recommend this lakehouse. There are dozens of other options. Customer service and compassion matter!
