Oceanfront house with panoramic views of the western side of Culebra with over 4,200 sq.ft., by Bahia Linda beach and Bahia Sardinera with 2 private docks overlooking town and ferry entrance. This private estate has access to snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, boating, fishing and many more activities. The home has 360 degree views of the ocean and has a breathtaking infinity pool overlooking Bahia Linda beach surrounded by nature and lush landscaping.

This ONE OF A KIND house is located in a peninsula and has 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, expansive/open great room/living area with equipped kitchen, large pantry with laundry, gazebo, and 2 sun decks. The bedrooms are divided into two (2) separate master suites with its private entrance and bathrooms; one queen size junior suite with private bathroom and 2 other bedrooms with 4 bunk beds each sharing one bathroom. There is a full guest bathroom outside by great room. Kitchen space is open/ overlooking great room with expansive counter space with 8 stools perfect for entertaining! The open living area is surrounded by decks and terraces; this house has been designed to make you feel like you are in a yacht! The house has capacity for up to 14 guests and is short distance to town, restaurants and shopping areas. The house is two steep hills from town, so a 4X4 jeep or vehicle is recommended.

Villa Tampico’s convenient layout provides for various alternatives depending on the number of guests, and can comfortably accommodate from 2 to 14 guests. Each bedroom has a TV and there is wireless internet service on premises.

Culebra island is approximately 20 sq. miles and is located between Puerto Rico’s northeastern coast and St. Thomas USVI. Access to the island is via air from Isla Grande airport or Ceiba or via ferry from Fajardo, PR. Villa Tampico is close to the airport, ferry, and beautiful beaches, one being Flamenco Beach, named by National Geographic one of the top 10 beaches in the world. If you are looking for a house that offers privacy, serenity, beach access, spectacular views, private docks, but at the same time want to be close to everything…THIS IS THE HOUSE FOR YOU!

Great location right next to town but also very private. The house care taker Edwin was amazing. My family had a great snorkeling off the dock and playing in the pool.

This is a beautiful property in a stunning location. Michelle and Edwin were both very helpful as our flights were delayed and we arrived very late. They made sure we got our rental vehicle and a pizza for dinner!

This was our second stay at Villa Tampico. This time we brought more family, who were as blown away as we were by the incredible ocean views and that amazing infinity pool. Had a great time and we’ll be back!

If you are NOT looking for paradise keep scrolling! I give this property 100 stars! Michelle and her staff were amazing! Communication was top notch. Only thing you need to bring is clothes and food. The house was phenomenal. We loved the open house. The bedrooms all have their own private outdoor entrance. The pool was fantastic or relaxing under the gazebo or in the hammock. Snorkeling was great, we saw so much around the property. A large iguana came to drink from the pool. Saw sting rays and kids would love all the hermit crabs! Birds came into the kitchen to say goodbye to us our last morning there. The elusive house cat showed itself our last night there. We even had a double rainbow the last morning. This vacation for my family was for everyone to relax and ‘reset’. Not to have a go, go, go all day, everyday vacation. This house lets you do that; you can do nothing or everything. We did a lot of relaxing and took 2 days to do beach excursions. The ocean water was clear and warm; the pool water was warm. The sunsets from the dock or the gazebo were beautiful. The sound of the ocean at night was very therapeutic.The property is so close to everything, the ferry, markets. You will need to rent a Bronco or Jeep, the dirt road into the property is an adventure. The Bronco rental is conveniently located just before you enter the property, as was one of the markets. Did I also mention how amazing Michelle and her staff are? Just book it!

We had an awesome stay at Villa Tampico. The place was close enough to everything we wanted to do in Culebra including snorkeling directly in the water surrounding the house but private enough for quiet moments of seclusion. We had our Framily trip that included 9 adults ranging from 23-55 years old. Everyone enjoyed the open nature of the kitchen and other spaces. We would love to return!!

Lacking

The view from the property is wonderful, as shown in pictures. So lets start there with 5 stars.-1 star for lack of privacy. We show up on Tuesday meet with Edwin, and then he is there randomly on Wednesday. I asked what is going on he said he had to check the pool and trash. I said ok, please let me know ahead of time if people are coming. He said he told me Tuesday, fine honest mistake. Then on Friday pool people come and 0 communication they just show up.-1 star. Lack of anything for the beach. Water in front of the house is not swimmable. Side with the docks is very shallow, but covered with rocks and sea urchins (which are venomous). Other side is very hard to get to and rocky. Ok no biggie lots of beautiful beaches on Culebra, including one very close. Oh wait there are no beach chairs, no umbrellas, and exactly one beach towel per person. Kayaks and snorkel gear on premises are for an extra expense only. There was a cooler we could use.-1 Star cleanliness / functionality. One bathroom was a mess with feces in the bathroom toilet, was it even cleaned? We were given a tour of the property and all the fans, well none of them work! Most of the time not an issue with the nice breeze except every night around 7pm the breeze would die for about an hour. The trash in the kitchen does not close properly and this leads to all kinds of insects (including cockroaches) being attracted. So make sure you take your trash out!

Fabulous Experience

What a beautiful and relaxing experience! We had a great time on the island and on the property! Edwin was an attentive contact and offered great advice and support. Michelle helped when there were some travel issues. The property provided such a comfortable outdoor living space to interact as a group and quiet private spaces to rest, cool off, and use the restroom. Great experience!

Great family reunion spot

Our family with members age 2-75 loved Villa Tampico. Gorgeous views sunrise to sunset. Lots of spaces for groups and individuals to hang out here and there. Very comfortable.

Surrounded by natural beauty!

Villa Tampico was a wonderful relaxing place to stay. We were lulled to sleep at night by the sound of the waves, enjoyed the open airiness of the kitchen and dining area, and a cooling dip in the pool was a great thing.The only difficulty we had was deciding which beautiful over-the-water view to enjoy; north, south or west! Sunsets are amazing and if you enjoy birding the pelicans, oystercatchers, and hummingbirds will keep you entertained.Check in was a breeze. Edwin took great care of us and he keeps the property in tip top shape.We loved our 10 days there.

Can't wait to come back!

The listing doesn't even do this place justice. The views and accommodations were absolutely fabulous. We loved Culebra and this home made it all even better. We traveled with a group of 8 adults and we were all very comfortable. Waking up to coffee by the ocean and ending with the lovely views of the pool was such a treat. A couple of our group members even snorkeled at the base of the property. The private dock and small beach were just perfect. A jeep was absolutely necessary to get to the property itself, and 4WD was great when it was rainy. We will be coming back as soon as we can!!

Amazing location - best on the island

This location was absolutely amazing. The pool is much larger than it looks in the photos. Communication with Edwin the property manager was flawless. This property is located very close to town, all the restaurants and bars. Very secluded and private with an outdoor kitchen area that we spent most of our time in. I highly recommend renting a jeep to get back and forth to town and the beaches as this property is located on a big hill but my kids were able to walk easily at night. Although the rates were high during Christmas week, we would definitely stay again with a larger group as it will easily accommodate 2-3 families with 2 large bunk rooms. Again, although a bit rustic, you will not find a better location with the sea on 3 sides. We will be back with others. Thanks for a great stay Edwin! He was awesome.

Best vacation house in Culebra

My wife and I came to Culebra to get married and wanted to have a small family vacation before we kicked off the wedding festivities. Villa Tampico was just as amazing as advertised. The layout of the house and view of the ocean is truly one of a kind on the island. Would definitely say again.

Nice enough but needs work

I’ve been to Culebra before and am familiar with the small island vibe, which is frankly what I love about it. However, I expect a good level of care and cleanliness when staying at a villa due to the cost. My entire group got eaten alive by bugs, which they could’ve protected us against by spraying the grounds or at least providing some guidance on how to avoid/prepare for them. Even in my room, I got literally dozens of bites while I was sleeping. It may have been due to the time of year and excess rain but it still wasn’t a good time dealing with that. Similarly, many of the kitchen appliances and utensils were not in great shape/old/rusted/dirty. I expect more cleanliness when staying at a property like this. Great location and nice ambiance overall, however. Would just like to see more cleanliness and more caring hosts via advice/spraying of grounds.

Priceless View

This property’s location is the best. Great sunset. Many places to just sit and relax and enjoy the view. Pool was bigger than it looks in the picture, which was nice. Landscaping is pretty. Beware of the bugs at night tho. It was nice to be close to town but far enough away to feel secluded. Would have loved to have some washcloths and maybe a couple more towels. It was great to have two refrigerators and a washer/dryer. Make sure you rent a Jeep to get up and down the steep drive to the property! Great stay! Will be back!

Amazing 50th anniversary with our extended family

We were thrilled to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our family in the most special place in the Caribbean!! Everything was beyond our expectations from the first moments of arrival to our departure. The house created something impossible to describe. Michele our host and Edwin the house go to person were extremely welcoming, treated us like family and became friends during our stay. We planned this trip over a year ago. There is no comparable place in the island. If you are fortunate enough to book a stay, you will not believe all of the memories that will be created here. Highly recommend!! D&K plus ten family members.

Paradise!

Simply beautiful, with ocean views on three sides and ocean breezes flowing through the villa. Access to the water on two sides of the property. Snorkeling was best right there. Relaxing in the infinity pool was a relief on those hot days. Close to town, groceries, and great restaurants. Definitely need to rent a jeep to traverse the steep driveway and the rough roads around the island. Could use more hand towels, wash cloths and bath towels. Beach chairs would be nice and/or large beach towels. We loved our stay and highly recommend this beautiful, unique location.

Paridise on Culebra

6 close friends (3 couples) stayed for. a week in March. I have stayed at 30 VRBO’s around the world. This hands down was the most spectacular setting and accommodation. So many amazing places to sit and soak in the views. Great infinity pool. Kitchen / Dining / living space had 360 degree view of waves, ocean, sunsets and boat activity. We ate all but one of our meals on site. Why leave. The only slight negative is the fixtures and millwork show the signs of being surrounded fully by ocean water. Nothing that got in our way, just the reality of being 75 feet from the ocean in all directions. Owners and Caretaker were first class.

Magical property

Villa Tampico is an amazing property on an amazing island. We loved the pool and the upper deck with the views of Vieques and Puerto Rico. One thing to keep in mind is that the main common areas (kitchen, dining area) are covered but open on three sides. This is magical for most of the weather in the Caribbean. We were unlucky with a period of rain and very strong winds, and the area became damp.

Beautiful Views from Every Room

Great place to unwind, watch the sunset, and listen to the waves. The property takes full advantage of its unique location on a peninsula--the decks, the pool, the gazebo, the great room give you views all around. The bedrooms are nice, too. A very private retreat that we enjoyed very much!
