Casa Monte Mar — hilltop retreat

Sit back and enjoy the beautiful bay and valley views, cooling winds and the soothing sounds of nature. Located at a hilltop, Casa Monte Mar is a peaceful and private retreat perfect for those looking to relax and recharge in Culebra. It’s also conveniently located less than a 10 minute car ride away from downtown Dewey, restaurants, supermarkets, the ferry terminal, the airport, car rentals and some of Culebra’s top beaches– Flamenco and Tamarindo.

The interior of the house is bright and airy, especially the main living and kitchen area which is equipped with two ceiling fans. The two bedrooms are equipped with AC. Bedroom 1 includes an en suite bathroom, double bed and a twin over double bunk bed. For groups larger than 7 we can accommodate one additional twin floor mattress. Bedroom 2 includes a queen bed. The second bathroom is in the hallway right across Bedroom 2.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook during your stay in Culebra and for those who love to grill there is a charcoal BBQ on the terrace. The terrace has comfortable seating, a dining table and two hammocks. It’s our favorite spot to hang in the morning and in the evening after a long day at the beach.

The house is located at a very steep the hill. For a more comfortable drive we recommend you book a Kawasaki or a Jeep/Bronco instead of a standard golf cart.

Additional details:

• Beach towels, beach chairs, and a cooler are provided to make beach going more convenient.

• When you come back from the beach, there is an outdoor shower on the left side of the house for you to rinse off sand and all beach items.

• There is a drying rack on the terrace to hang bathing suits.

• Depending on the season and weather mosquitoes might be more active. We provide citronella candles, swatter rackets and repellent to help keep them at bay. We advise to turn on fans, and keep windows closed.
