Thanks for your review, Kari. I'm sorry the cottage did not fully meet your expectations. We strive for a high degree of cleanliness and all I can think of is that our cleaning lady was not up to par that day. As well, we schedule deep cleanings every few months (one is scheduled right after Thanksgiving weekend), so there may have been areas that will be given greater attention with the deep cleaning. We make great efforts in greeting our guests in person so that we can inspect the cottage prior to a guest's arrival to make sure it is cleaned thoroughly. Unfortunately we were not able to greet you on arrival. Perhaps you feel the windows could have used a little attention? As you know, the cottage has floor-to-ceiling windows facing south and, when the outdoor lights are left on at night, the windows attract insects that leave their markings and these, along with every speck of dust, are magnified when the morning sun streams in through the windows. We do have the windows professionally cleaned at the end of the season and will be scheduling a cleaning soon. Thank you for the feedback -- it is very helpful. Vicky
