Great Location, But....
My wife and I were looking for a quiet place on the beach to spend a week away from the chilly Midwest spring and Toes In The Sand looked like it would be perfect. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay, but anyone considering staying here should understand a few things:Most importantly, although it is right on the beach, the pictures of the outside area on VRBO are not accurate. Hurricane Milton took away most of the patio along with the dunes and vegetation. What's left there now is a concrete slab and a temporary plastic sheet wall. Also, there currently is no barbeque grill to use.As for inside the unit, we did have a few things that made our stay less than relaxing: cable for the TVs did not work at all, so we only had Spectrum TV app available on the living room TV which did not include any of the main networks - ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX (the TV in the bedroom did not work at all); the toilet did not flush easily, so most of the time we had to open the tank and work with the valve to get it to refill; the glass door on the shower was not secured well, so we were very gentle with it in fear of it falling off the rail; and although there were beach chairs and an umbrella, one didn't fold up and the umbrella was difficult for us to anchor in the sand.If you can overlook some things and are really just looking for a beachfront location, this would be fine. Next time, I'll definitely ask more questions to be sure the description on VRBO lives up to the expectations.
