This special place is located in the heart of Stanley inside the 750,000-acre Sawtooth National Forest Recreation Area. The restaurants and stores in the community of Stanley are within walking distance, and recreational activities, including the Stanley to Redfish Trail, fishing and white water rafting on the Salmon River, Redfish Lake, hiking and biking trails, horseback riding, and ATV riding, are all nearby.

Perfect central location for exploring the Sawtooth Mountains. This might be a tiny home but it feels spacious and luxurious- no problem finding room to store clothes and luggage. The location is next to the main road so some traffic noise, but minimal at night even with windows open.

Sawtooth getaway

The house was very nice. Kitchen has all the appliances and gadgets needed to cook almost any meal. Bed was very comfortable. Hiked in 3 wilderness areas around Stanley, tons of country to explore.

Very nice place. Clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed. Great view of the Sawtooth Mountains but 30 yards from Hwy 21, so we heard a lot of passing vehicles. Western exposure of front door, so on a clear day from 5-8 o’clock it was too hot to sit in the living space or on the front deck. We pulled up chairs in shaded area behind the house and enjoyed reading there in the early evening. The house cools off nicely when the sun goes down. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Stanley Tiny Home

My daughter and I stayed at this property as a base to hike in the Sawtooth Wilderness. We loved the tiny house. It was a great location. Stanley had anything we needed in terms of restaurants, gas, etc. without being big and touristy. Very convenient for hiking. The property itself was great for two people. Nice bed and shower. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful views from porch and picnic area. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.

Sawtooth Vista Rentals is a family-run business built on our deep connection to the Sawtooth Valley. For over thirty years, our family has been visiting Stanley and creating lasting memories. For the past twenty years, we have proudly been property owners in the valley. Our positive experience offering our home as a vacation rental gives us a unique understanding of what is important to both homeowners and renters.

Gary and Sari moved to Stanley as full-time residents in 2008. Before settling in Stanley, Sari worked in a real estate trust department, served as a commercial loan analyst, founded and directed a Christian education organization, and raised two sons. The younger son, Scott, and his wife Ashlee are actively involved in the business. When not working on vacation rentals, they travel the world as photographers with O'Malley Photographers. They have three sons whose favorite place in the world is Stanley, Idaho.
