I'm glad the location exceeded your expectations. It's a very nice property, with lots of shorefront, different from most. The views from the deck and firepit off to the west make for some amazing views and blazing sunsets. Tough coming home after spending a week there!

The property is beautiful! The cottage is rustic, as it should be as a summer camp, but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The setting is gorgeous, a cove with water surrounding the property

Peaceful Maine retreat

Cottage was very homey, owner thought of everything we could possibly need. Husband and 16yo were happy kayaking and fishing, 14yo was happy hanging out in the cove with me. Very nice location, beautiful sunsets, great weather and we always had a nice breeze from the lake. Perfect place to relax and unplug.

Truly Relaxing & Beautiful

Can't say enough about our stay at this beautiful lake. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. We enjoyed the beautiful weather, cool nights and warm days. The lake was beautiful for swimming, canoeing, and just relaxing watching the sun go down. We had a terrific time & can't wait for another chance to come stay at your cabin! Thanks so much for your warm hospitality in making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our week!

Perfect Every Time

We’ve spent four vacations here (twice in the fall, twice in the summer). The cabin feels like home the instant we arrive. There’s plenty to do right on sight including fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, sitting around the fire, and more. The owner Steve is great and makes our stay a breeze every time. If you want to experience the true beauty of Maine while maintaining the comforts of home, look no further!

Low-key getaway on Great Moose Lake

Our two-week stay at Cove Point was just what we wanted from a lake vacation in Maine. The cottage is close to the water's edge and feels secluded. We had time on the water in the canoe, some fishing, lots of reading and watching the moods of the water and sky from the chairs on the deck, and some star-gazing when the weather and clouds finally cleared. On the days that were windy and cool we drove northward for some great hikes (Pleasant Pond Mountain, Great Moose Mountain and Pond, Round Top Trail, and, our favorite, Moxie Bald Mountain). Listening to the loons' calls -- the quintessential sound of northern lakes -- reinforced our fondness for this neck of the woods.

A Perfect Escape

I have stayed at several cottages in Maine. This is the best. The cottage is very clean and has all the utensils that you need. If you are looking for a place to relax, this is it. It has a nice sandy beach and easy in and out for kayaking. The loons called and greeted us along with beautiful sunsets. The cottage offers views of the lake on two sides. Great spot for day trips but a bit of distance for dining out. Steve has kept this camp up to date with new appliances and repairs. We caught several fish off the beach and boulders but left all the clunkers for the next guest. This was a great stay on a beautiful lake! We will do this again.

Picture Perfect Amazing Lakeside Sanctuary

Cove Point was a perfect get-away cottage deep into the Maine wilderness, yet close enough to everything anyone could want or need. The host thoughtfully stages the setting with everything you need, it was both exhilarating and relaxing. We will be back!

Beautiful Maine lakefront cottage

Cove Point is an idyllic vacation venue. Steve (owner) spared no effort to ensure that we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay. We hope to return again in the future!

Amazing location

This place is amazing, we loved it so much. You couldn't ask for a better location in that area. Also, Steve is very easy to work with and made sure we were all set when we arrived. Can't say enough good things about our experience, we'll definitely be back. :)

Great Location

Perfect location to get away and have a quite relaxing vacation. Private beach in a small cove. 2 other homes in the cove both unoccupied when we stayed; Water was clear. Looking forward to going back next year if the opportunity presents itself again.

Great moose lake

Beautiful Spot!

Lovely camp with wonderful sunsets! Quiet cove with many loon sightings. The camp had everything we needed to spend the week - fully equipped kitchen and living area. The screen doors allowed good flow of air on hotter days. The deck is a lovely place to spend the afternoon!

Just the water and nature- perfect

Thanks for another wonderful year. All week we enjoyed the animals going about their business all around us. This time of year it is so peaceful and quiet on the lake. We visited Ledge Island this year and the bog on the other side of the lake. The camp was nice and clean as always.

Great relaxing week on the lake!

We had another wonderful week at Cove Point camp. This year it wasn't as windy so we were able to have a fire in the evenings. The sunsets are wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the turtles sun themselves in the morning. The blue heron returned again and we saw either an osprey or young eagle catch a fish in the lake. Canoeing around the lake was great fun. Thanks Steve for another perfect getaway.

Our favorite vacation spot!

This was our third stay at Cove Point cottage. The owner, Steve, has always been a pleasure to deal with and he has always checked in during our stay to make sure everything is in perfect shape. Upon arrival, the cottage was spotless. It feels like home each time we visit. This was our first summer stay and we spent most of the week fishing, kayaking, canoeing in the provided canoe, swimming (just the kids!), relaxing on the deck and building fires. The kids especially enjoyed catching bullfrogs and playing in the sand. If you're looking for a real nature's retreat with all the comforts of home, look no further! We will stay again and again.

Our stay here on Great Moose Lake was wonderfully relaxing....a great time to enjoy nature listening to the loon calls, watching a parent Flicker feeding it's young and taking in the beautiful sunsets. We also enjoyed many early morning and afternoon fishing excursions on the Lake. On a rainy day we took a day trip to Moosehead and toured the lake aboard The Katahdin. The accommodations were wonderful, clean and comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay on Great Moose Lake.

Great getaway!

This was such a wonderful place, lots of wildlife to just sit and watch- turtles, loons, woodpeckers, blue jays, dragonflies, herons, frogs, fish. The narrow channel directly in front of the camp keeps boats at low speed in this section of the lake, so even on busy weekends it is still peaceful and quiet. Almost all the comforts of home, full kitchen, sofa, dining table, grill, TV. Cell coverage is good (Verizon), enough to get basic internet. The cove to the side of the camp is nice and private for swimming, sitting on the beach or canoeing. Nice big sliding glass doors provide great views even from inside. Weather can change in minutes, especially in late afternoon. Nice breezes off the lake kept us cool even when temp got into the mid 80s one day. Thanks for the stay, it was very relaxing!
