Family Friendly Luxury 3500sft 5b/5b at Kicking Horse Resort

Check in to a Whistler Architect designed Timber Frame property with endless luxury amenities and Rocky Mountain Views. Accommodates skier/rider trips and/or the relaxing family vacation in winter or summer. With multiple families in mind the owners made 3 master suites (2 kings,1 queen) with private baths and an additional 2 bedrooms (1 queen, 2 twins) with a shared large 2 sink bathroom. There are 4 full baths, 1 half Bath, and one 3 person Steam Room/Shower ensuring there is never a queue on a fresh powder morning. Enjoy our covered balcony to stargaze or grill in any weather. Apres' ski is simple: Ski to the back of the house, warm up in front of the wood stove, get a massage in the dedicated private therapy room, soak in the steam room, or sit in the covered outdoor Hot Tub.

The active owners skied one day on a Blue Bird powder day in 2002 and quickly realized Kicking Horse had everything to be a true winter and summer destination. In the winter there are endless powder days, great wide open beginner and intermediate terrain, world class skate and traditional XC sking trails, mild winter temperatures and convenient access to everything you need for a stress-free vacation. In the summer enjoy gondola served hiking and biking making Kicking Horse one of the few places that you can use the mountain year round. Or visit the Grizzly Bear refuge on the mountain or hike to a local glacier. Being located in the Columbia River Valley and near the Kicking Horse River offers the opportunity for White Water Rafting and Jetboating only 10 kilometers away. Also access 4 national parks (Glacier, Banff, Lake Louise, Yoho) all within a 1.5 hours drive.

Local area restaurants serve great local inspired cuisine offering dishes featuring locally raised Bison as well as directly sourced West Coast Salmon. Sip local wines from the Okanagan, BC region and dine at the highest restaurant in Canada (Eagles Eye).

Fantastic view from the kitchen window. Walking distance to gondola for mountain hiking. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Very nice double sided fireplace. Used the sauna and steam room lots. Ample parking in garage and driveway. Extra fridge in garage was a nice touch. Lots of room in the kitchen/dining room for our group. Had Columbia River Catering bring in a supper one night-was a hit. A few items could use some tlc but nothing major.

Amazing Place!

This location was perfect for our group and everyone loved it. Tons of space, and the hot tub and steam room were fantastic! The beds were comfy and I would love to stay here again!

This property is stunning and a great location for friends or family looking to spend a weekend on the hill! It had great amenities and was very spacious for a large group. Greg was easy to coordinate with and was fast to reply to messages. Can't recommend enough! We will be back!

Perfect house for large group!

We had a wonderful time visiting golden. House was perfect for 5 couples- plenty of space for cooking, dining and relaxing- greatly enjoyed the hot tub and steam!! Views are amazing!!!!

Great views

Check in was smooth and communication was great. Very nice views out. We cooked dinner the 3 nights we were there and the kitchen was well equipped and 8 adults had lots of room to spread out on the main floor. Really enjoyed our stay. It was 10 minutes drive to the beautiful Golden golf course. The picture was taken about a 2 minute walk from the house.

Perfect location for a competition

Our granddaughter competed in the NorAm Jr Freeride. Easy access to the slopes, good space for gear, spacious home made it easy to be together or find some alone time. There is a small grocery store at the resort, which was convenient. It is about a 15 minute drive to Golden for restaurants or shopping.

Fantastic location, great house, and very responsive host. The only bummer was that there were condiments in the fridge and food in the freezer. Since we were taking a long trip, having less space for our food and food that wasn't ours was a bummer.

Wonderful spot for our Christmas Family vacation for 7 nights.

Our Christmas vacation was a hit spending it in this amazing home for 7 nights. ..The beautiful scenary was easily displayed through the large windows in the great room and the kitchen. The kitchen supplied lots of room to cook meals and have gathers for all to share... All the bedroom were comfortable and easily fit our large family. The hot tub and steam room added great enjoyment after long and hard ski/snowboard days. We would love to return and highly recommend it to anyone. December 2016

The property was as advertised and really enjoyed the place. The only issue was the hot tub was not heating up but we didn't inform the owner as we had another property that we used the hot tub instead. I will send him a note to let him know, everything else was great! Paul

Great place to recharge and relax

Our group of 10 were in the midst of a fairly extensive tour of the Canadian Rockies and needed a place to regroup and prepare for a trip into the remote wilderness. This was the perfect place for us and made the entire trip more enjoyable. Very well stocked overall (but bring shampoo). Thank you for opening your home to us.
