Perfect family vacay

Everything was so clean and they had everything you could think of that makes it stress free to leave home with the kids. Tons of extra blankets and towels, lots of notes everywhere, beds were super comfy, pool and hot tub were warm and toddler friendly

Great Home close to Disney

The home and location were great! Terry communicated and provided all sorts of information for the property and local area. The house was set-up nicely and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, especially after long days in the parks. We will definitely rent the house again if available.

Perfect for our family!

We traveled with 4 adults and 2 kids (aged 3 & 5) in early February and had the best time. The home was well appointed and having 2 master suites was huge for us! Perfect size pool that was warm even on 55 degree evenings. Game room was great and proximity to Disney made our 2 park days easy. Wonderful access to any store you might need (Target, Walmart, Publix all within 10-15 min depending on traffic). Thank you!!

Family vacation

It was great for my older kids to relive some memories they had when we first visited Terry’s home back when they were little. Overall the stay was great. We had a couple hiccups at the beginning but they were resolved or we just let it go. The arcades in the game room are great but we couldn’t get them to work. Which was a bummer but the kids ended up making use of the racing one, pool table and the Wii. A couple of suggestions I would make are making sure the cleaning crew in cleaning under the sofa bed and under the beds. My kids wanted to sleep on the sofa bed but when we pulled it out it was dirty so they ended up sleeping on the carpet. We ended up losing a pair of sandals so we were looking under the beds and that’s when we found garbage and clothes under the beds. In my opinion having an air fryer would be great to cook small meals instead of turning on the oven for something small. A big skillet would also accommodate to a big family/ again this might just be me besuase my kids can eat 😬 other than that, we didn’t want to leave the house because it was so much fun! I think with some updates to the game room this home will be much better than what it is! Terry was very responsive, and I did message him quite a few times. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

Perfect Family Getaway

My family and I, including 3 kids, stayed at this property while enjoying the Disney Parks for the first time. The property was plenty of space for everyone to decompress and relax after long park days. The game room was fun but the heated pool and hot tub got the most use. The owner assured me the pool would be heated, and not just luke warm. It was absolutely perfect! We will definitely stay here again, probably every time we come to FL from now on!

Thanksgiving

The house is great, very clean and well stocked with everything you need. The heating hot tub and pool was a great feature as they both were very warm when using. My family had a great time and my teens/college kids really enjoyed playing pinball. This is a great property that is close to Disney. If you are traveling with family and want to stay off property this is a GREAT option. We will absolutely consider renting this house again in the future.

Great vacation home!

We came to Florida for the IAAPA convention and took our family to Disney world and seaworld while we were there. This home was the perfect place to come back to after a long park day to relax in it hot tub. And it kept us entertained on our in between days with the pool and game room. The house was clean, the beds were very comfortable and our daughter loved the finding nemo themed room. Perfect location and great amenities.

Our October Getaway

We really enjoyed our week in Florida. The pool and hot tub used up the kids' energy and the game room was entertaining for kids and adults. Having a washer & dryer was a plus along with plenty of tv's so everyone could watch their own shows at night. SO close to Disney and Universal helped to save on time and gas. The owners answered every message quickly. Thanks!

A True Gem

This property was perfect for our family of 5--from the private pool to the comfortable beds to the arcade--Tropical Retreat had everything we wanted and more. In fact, my kids had so much fun at the villa that they would have probably been fine if we had not even went to Disney World on this trip! The check-in process was easy. The location was terrific--very close to Disney World. We also loved having room to spread out. My children loved all of the access to gaming. There were gaming systems in the arcade as well as in the twin bedrooms. The living room television had Netflilx loaded. All of the TVs had access to a good channel lineup. Starter supplies included some toilet paper, a small amount of dish detergent, some liquid hand soap, and some bar facial soap. I was a bit surprised that there were no paper towels, but we were able to add some to our Walmart order. The only two small maintenance things that I noticed was a small amount of mold/mildew around the bar in one of the bathtubs. It would have been easily overlooked, and I cleaned it off with a wipe. One of the garage outdoor light bulbs is out. I didn't think to notify the property management of either of these at the time as they were not a bother to us. We did put on the pool cover as our stay began in October, but it was rolled back up the next day. We wanted to follow the directions. We would love to come stay here again any time we have a Saturday to Saturday trip. We were definitely spoiled!

Great Stay!

We had a great stay, The home was just as described and very comfortable and relaxing after long days out in the Florida heat. Our favorite part was the pool and hot tub. Terry made the whole process very easy and kept us well informed about all the details of the home prior to our arrival. Check in at the resort and acccess into the home couldnt have been easier. We will stay here again in the future. Well done Terry, Thanks.

Treasure found in Emerald Island

My family and I absolutely loved this home. We have stayed at many homes in Florida, but this one is definitely a treasure! Inside has a tropical look and feel and everything is very detailed, so you will not have to guess where anything is. Unlike all the other places we stayed the grill here was included and the pool heat. Plenty of board games with my old time faves “Life & Clue” and the top notch game room. You really didn’t need to go anywhere! We hope to stay here every time we stay in Florida! Thank you Terry we can not wait to book our next stay!

Great Place

Stayed here for a week with family to do Disney. Pool was great and it felt like we used it most of the time we were there. Would have been nice to have some basic essentials in the pantry and fridge (ketchup, mustard, oil, etc), but maybe some people get a little weird about that. It didn't really matter anyway because there are plenty of options just down the street for groceries and other items. Took us about 15 minutes to get to Disney. Overall great experience and look forward to doing it again.

Fantastic Disney Vacation House

If you are looking for a house for your families Disney vacation this is the place for you! The house is exactly as described and has everything you need. It is comfortable and spacious even for a family of 7. There is a Target close by for all your shopping needs. The games room was a lovely addition to that we made good use of. Pick this place for sure!

What a place!!!

Everything was perfect from the time we checked in to the time we left. We loved every bit of this place and if you are going to disney is smack dab right in the middle of every park i swear. The backyard pool and jacuzzi was perfect for us. The game room was such a nice touch for the kids. Literally a game system in each kids bedroom. We cannot wait to stay here again.

Excellent Vacation Home

I am so glad we had the pleasure of staying Jerrys Trpoical retreat. my grandchildren were in the pool almoct every day and loved the childrens themed rooms.We could not have chosen a more comfortable home. Jerry was easy to work eith and the home had all the amenities anyone would need. The games room 10+. Thank you for our wonderful vacation!

Lovely villa

First off, Terry’s communication is excellent. Any time we contacted him, he responded in a matter of hours. Above and beyond. We’ve stayed in Emerald Island a number of times now so knew up-front that the location of the villa would be ideal for the things we wanted to do. The villa and amenities are great overall. Our son loved the games room, the large sitting room TV was great and the fast WiFi was essential. The pool and hot tub were also great. A few clumps of hair from previous clients was found in the bathrooms but we just dealt with that as we went. Only real issue we encountered was that one of the pool netting panels had a large gap in it. It was reported on our first full day - Terry responded really quickly that he had reported it to the management company. It took 4-5 days for it to be repaired but, in the manco’s defence, July 4th was during that period. The repair was poor. The netting had been pinned up with bits of outside plant coming inside. Inevitably, it completely failed after a couple of days. It was reported again and this time repaired the same day - although to the same quality as before. It failed yet again the day before we left (not reported the final time but the manco would have known it wasn’t a temporary job). The practical effect was that we just didn’t use the pool area at night because the outside lights just led to more insects inside the netting.

Great 2023 Family Retreat
