CLEANING:
We have always and will continue to use clorox, lysol cleaners, disinfectant sprays, and laundry sanitizer, vinegar, bleach as appropriate for each surface type. Our crews wear protective masks and gloves. We have always taken great care to protect our guests! You should leave it tidy, rinsed dishes go into dishwasher so there's no ants etc. Cabins blankets and towels stay at the cabin. The crew does the rest.

Cold Springs Cabin

The cabin was nice. It comes as advertised. Very accurate listing. The place was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Great place in the mountains. Our family enjoyed the cabin and look forward to renting it again.

Cute rustic cabin

The location of the cabin was great. Close to Pinecrest and Dodge Ridge. The deck was huge and it was fun to sit out and BBQ and look out at the beautiful trees. The host was very accommodating and replied quickly. Its a great place to go spend your weekend in the mountains.

Beautiful setting but safety issues need addressing

The neighborhood was nice and peaceful and located conveniently to Pinecrest Lake. We really enjoyed our hikes, time at the lake and the beautiful scenery, but the cabin was a bit disappointing, especially for the kids. They were looking forward to sleeping on bunkbeds but were unable to use them due to major safety issues. The upper bunks had no rails and also had 8 inch openings at the end of the mattresses that were completely open to bottom bunk. Quite frightening to think of anyone sleeping in them. Also, the upstairs TV did not get any stations and although their was a VHS player and numerous tapes, it wasn't hooked up (it was in a closet) so the kids were unable to enjoy the retro movies. Other safety concerns were that the front window didn't have a latch to lock it for security and the slider blinds didn't cover the window so we felt like we were on show to the back neighbors at night. Although dishwashing tablets and paper towels were supplied, there weren't enough of either to cover five people for a week long stay. Luckily we were able to buy more (at outrageous prices) at the Pinecrest store. I'm also really glad it didn't get too cold at night because there wasn't one blanket in sight. I really hope the safety issues are addressed before anyone gets hurt because the cabin is cozy and quaint, and deserves to be enjoyed.

Update

The property needs an update. Felt like I walked into the late 70s early 80s. The deck needs to be redone. Boards missing nails. Scary. Parking stinks. Property was clean.

Great place to relax

This was a blast from the past, loved it. This cabin was a cozy little place, perfect for our family of 4. It was at a great location. Overall it was a great stay.

Ski race weekend trip

We booked the house for two families for the weekend for our kids to race at Dodge Ridge. We arrived after dinner, checking was seamless. The house did not have wifi which was almost an issue because we had a work issue to handle but it is advertised properly that there is no wifi. There were clean dishes in the dishwasher to be u loaded. They say to bring your own paper towels and toilet paper but there was some of each upon arrival. The communication with the host was easy. 5 kids slept in the loft which is perfect for kids and two couples used the rooms downstairs. We will try to book this same home when we come back to ski dodge ridge. It was a quick 12 minute drive to the resort.

Pinecrest lodge

Place was as advertised- older cabin fit for family stay; once heater got going it was very warm and cozy; appliances are a bit dated and we waited a while for boiling water etc. Very convenient location close to Dodge Ridge. Now they need snow!

Great stay

We went with little kids to enjoy the snow. The description of the place was pretty accurate. We knew what to expect and got prepared and had a great time. The heating was not perfect (Some rooms in the lower floor were cold while top floor got pretty warm) but it is a cabin and definitely it was not a huge problem. It has a cute spacious place with a good location.

Great Location but prepare to travel back in time...

I brought my wife and two kids (6 and 8) to this cabin for a long ski weekend and I will concede, the nightly rate for a place this big was very affordable given its size, however, with exception to a new oven in the kitchen, this place was super rough. Granted we went during a big snowstorm but the road to the cabin was so poorly plowed that we couldn't drive all the way up to the front door. The driveway was never plowed so we had to park at the overflow lot and hike 1/2 mile down to the cabin in the snow. The only source of heat is one propane fireplace and it took a full day and half for the inside temperature to get higher than 55 degrees. The furniture is all pretty beat up and the sheets for the beds (which we had to make ourselves) and the towels in the bath room are all super old and thread bare. The kitchen utensils and glassware were equally old and beat up, picture the leftovers at a yard sale. You will need to bring everything you need to make a meal, not a salt shaker in sight, no garbage can, no sponge, no nothing. Also, no internet and 1 bar of cell phone service if you are lucky so bring a book and ham radio. You are basically camping, which has its charm, but only if you are expecting to go camping. There is air hockey...kind of.

Cozy cabin perfect for big families

Me and my family had an amazing stay. The cabin was spacious and accommodated my family of 10 plus our little pup. Everything was as expected. Only downside was the service for some Verizon and no Wi-Fi but other than that everything was explained accordingly. So close to dodge ridge and Pinecrest. Area gets a lot of snow and icy please bring chains when needed! Cabin had a lovely kitchen area and we all enjoyed the hockey & foosball table for entertainment. Darlene was also very accommodating and even offered late check out which was super nice since the snow was starting to come down hard. She was a great host. We look forward to booking another property in the future.

Perfect cabin for a group of 7 girls

Perfect location perfect snow just everything went great! We all had such a good time we can't wait to go back! Sunday the day we left it started snowing and I just wanted to curl up and watch it fall. Beautiful!!! Thank you and we'll stay there again anytime.

PRETTY DECENT RUSTIC CABIN!

Our Family had a great time (8 humans plus 2 dogs) everything was functional as it is, great location from Dodge Ridge Ski Resort (about 14 minutes drive or less) and Pinecrest Lake (10 minutes or less) You can't ask for more for the price! Our only reccomendation to the host is that a few matresses (not all of them) need to be upgraded. The night sky here is gorgeous, and you can take very decent long exposure pictures of the night sky.

OLD FRIENDS REUNION

Having rented different houses over the years, we were shocked at this place. Admittedly I accidentally rented this one thinking it was the one we rented the previous year. Every other place we rented had linens, soap, etc. None of these were present, we had to bring everything. The Beds were not very comfortable, one of them the springs could be felt, and mine was rock hard, Mine also moved if I tried to sit up or fluff a pillow. I had to put socks on the wheels so it would stay put. All the lights were dim and even with them all on it was dark. Too cheap to put in higher-watt bulbs. The TV'a were15 inch models. Very small screen and with basic cheap cable on it. Upstairs which is open with bunk beds and regular beds had a VCR DVD player with a bunch of old VCR tapes. It didn't work. Also had an old run-down air hockey game that barely worked. Luckily it wasn't cold because the heater was a Kerosene contraption that we couldn't figure out. One would not want to be there in the winter as it is all single-pane windows and a lousy heating system. The cabin seems old and cheaply built. I do not recommend this to anyone.

Reunion in Cold Springs

Really enjoyed walking the loop in the Cold Springs cabin area a few times. There are some really nice views and a short trail on the lava ridge. There’s also a trail at the bottom of the development that can be taken to the river. Pinecrest Lake, Movie Under the Stars, swimming and hiking were all great. Dinner on the river at Strawberry was delicious. The Pine Crest Store is an icon with fun t-shirts, hats and all kinds of lake stuff. Love it all!

Nice cabin in high Sierra, right next to Pinecrest lake

Really nice rustic cabin, a lot of character. Very short drive to Pinecrest lake and hikes. We and our dog Daphnia loved breakfast on a sunny deck and long morning walks in the nearby forest. Also great host, we forgot our blankets but she got them to us after we called her and asked her help. Highly recommend!

Decent for the price

The house clean and had plenty of space. It is very outdated. The stove works but needs replacing. Needed maintenance to come fix the shower before we could use it. Great communication with management, great location, fit 2 families with plenty of space. Beds are uncomfortable. Overall the stay was a success.
