Moonlit Dunes was a great rental. The owners thought of everything when they stocked the house for guests. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay again.

This was our 37th year at the Point, so we've stayed in a number of places. I can truly say this was our favorite. The description of the house is accurate. We had 2 families staying and the layout worked perfectly with plenty of room for everyone. The amenities and personal touches were fabulous. It truly felt like our own home, not a rental. Also, the location was perfect! Close to a public access if needed and just a short walk to watch the sunset. Communication with the host was easy with very quick responses. We are returning next year (2027) and can't wait to be in this house.

This was our first time to the Crystal Coast but we've been yearly visitors to the Outer Banks for nearly 20 years. The area is lovely and the water is incredibly warm and inviting. Definitely plan on visiting again. The house itself was absolutely perfect, very well maintained, clean and extraordinarily functional. Having just two floors is a rarity in a beach house. It's just what we needed as I had my elderly in-laws with us and the stairs at many beach houses were becoming too much. It's amazing that there's so much room packed in those two floors. Everybody had plenty of space and the kids absolutely adored the bunk room. As for the host, very accommodating and responsive. It was an absolute pleasure of staying here and we look forward to doing it again.

Excellent stay! We are so happy to stay in the most beautiful home. Our family felt so welcome and made our stay the most memorable and the most enjoyable. The host is very gracious and thoughtful. They provided us with all the things that we may need for a wonderful beach vacation. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed Our Stay

The house was nice and clean and had everything we needed for our stay from beach chairs and shade to the kitchen. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. We'll definitely rent again.

Private sanctuary

This place is amazing! The house is spacious and well appointed, the huge back deck was wonderful to sit and take in the view. The beach is a 2 min stroll through the dunes, so fun, then you emerge onto the expanse of sand that is the beach (HUGE) which we had essentially entirely to ourselves. It was just a couple of nights but it felt longer, we were able to really relax and leave it all behind. We are already planing to come back in the Summer for a full week. Such a great vibe!

Perfect end of summer stay

Our family spent 5 nights at the property in the end of August. We were welcomed by a colorful facade and the back doors opened to the great outdoors. Deer, bunnies, squirrels among the fire pit and all a view from the sprawling back porch. Beyond the backyard were the dunes which led to the gorgeous beaches of Emerald Isle. This oceanfront property allowed us to be spoiled and still feel at home. It came with every amenity, when you’re normally worrying about bringing ziplocs and paper towels, it was stocked with everything from a salad spinner to keurig pods and margarita glasses. The bathrooms and bedrooms were comfortable and homey, updated and had a fun beach feel. The closets were spacious and kid’s room a relaxing retreat with 2 full beds bunked for extra space to play with their stocked puzzles and toys. Beds were comfortable and extra blankets were provided. The place has just recently been renovated, and the cleaning was wonderful. We usually have to wipe and pre-clean, but this has been thoughtfully prepared in every way. Spacious and light, allows for big meals and late nights on the back swing ! Thank you for this end of summer retreat!

We had a great week at Moon Lit Dunes. 2 families a total of 9 people. The house was well equipped and clean. It was nice to arrive and some of the basic essentials in place. We have been doing a trip like this for 10 years and over the last few years the property owners barely supply toilet paper. This house was set with everything you needed. They supplied beach chairs as well as well as a couple small coolers. The beach is a 3 minute walk. Communication was clear. All in all a great house and would highly recommend. 5 stars.
