The Zen Birds Nest is a unique space that has a way of enveloping our guests upon arrival. Providing the coziest space to cuddle up in Topanga Canyon and feel right at home. Our Bohemian chic space is nestled in the perfect location in the canyon. Just up the street from Topanga Village where our guests can peruse the curated shops and enjoy fabulous food at our local artisan cafes.

Enjoy a delicious homemade meal under the cafe lights on the dining deck with friends. Pour a glass of wine at Golden Hour while creating memories in the outdoor living room with your loved one. Lovely to also spend some quiet time in the writers nook nestled in the corner of the property with the perfect garden view. Or simply listening to some classic vinyl throughout the house creating the perfect vibes. The firepit is the perfect space to wrap up a fun filled day. The magic of Topanga will trickle through the windows as the natural fills the energy of the space.

Had a great stay. The property is easily the nicest property we have stayed in when we booked with VRBO. It is decorated beautifully, and the things you use (towels, dishes) were also tasteful!

The grounds and the decor are top notch, everything is interesting, well-placed and beautiful to look at. It was a perfect escape from the city for a girls trip to hike and shop in Topanga and Malibu. Private areas for all to enjoy while being together.

A perfect stay! Beautiful backyard with mature landscaping. So relaxing and peaceful. Our dog loved it, too! The home was spotless and with so many special touches, we had everything we needed! Beds are very comfortable as well. Will definitely return if we are in the area.

Absolutely amazingly designed property away from the hustle and bustle of LA. So many styling ideas that I couldn’t wait to replicate in my own home! Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful little getaway

Beautiful house in the Topanga mountains with a great backyard area for grilling / relaxing by the fire pit. The design of the place is very chic and relaxing. The hosts are amazing and very communicative! Great stay!

We stayed at the Birds Nest with our kids and it was honestly one of our favorite getaways. The boho aesthetic is even better in person — thoughtful, warm, and so well done. The deck was perfect for meals and downtime, and the location is unbeatable: tucked into Topanga but minutes from the beach. The kids loved it and so did we. Highly recommend for families looking for something a little special outside of the typical rental. Five stars all around!

We had a great time at Birds Nest. Amazing outdoors area, modern kitchen and bathrooms. Excellent shower! Lots of board games and lovely music options. Owners were super respnsive and helpful. Thank you!

My husband and I enjoyed a long, relaxing weekend at the Birds Nest. It’s a quaint, well-cared for home with a large deck for enjoying cocktails and/or meals in comfort under twinkling lights at night, a separate fire pit area, and a lovely garden setting. If you’re traveling with a dog, this is definitely a pet-friendly property. The back area is fully enclosed/secure, and your pup will love exploring the grounds. The hosts are great communicators and are highly responsive. The location is very convenient to shops and cafes nearby, and the ocean is only a 10-minute drive. It was a wonderful escape for us!

Trip to visit family

This property is in perfect condition and very well maintained. It was a perfect location to use as our home base while we visited the area. The kitchen and outdoor grill was ideal to cook meals and enjoy the evening on the deck or around the firepit. Parking is tricky if you have a full-size SUV...but we did it! Will book again when visiting the area.

truly a cozy birds' nest

This was the perfect weekend get away. The beds were so comfortable and everything was carefully thought out and made simple. The amenities were excellent and having the reader's nook to retreat to was really great for private meetings or just writing. The outside entertaining areas were just lovely. I would highly recommend this place if cozy is what you are looking for. The hosts were terrific and very thoughtful.

Wedding week

The Birds Nest was more than we could have imagined. The detail of the decor to the tranquility both inside and out were just what we needed! The area was a gem and so peaceful. The views in the canyon were spectacular and the beach was close as well as shopping. We enjoyed eating in and exploring the variety of local restaurants. Just a wonderful trip all around! We will be back for sure…

Our stay at the Bird Nest in Topanga was truly incredible. We were amazed to discover such a peaceful haven, where every detail invites relaxation and well-being. Nothing is missing inside—the bedding, linens, and towels are all top quality.Sipping an evening drink on the outdoor deck, surrounded by nature and listening to a Sinatra vinyl, was the perfect way to unwind after a day in the hustle and bustle of LA :)Communication with the hosts was smooth and friendly throughout. I genuinely recommend the Bird Nest in Topanga to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to stay—surrounded by nature and just minutes away from Santa Monica and Venice Beach.
