We had a great stay at John’s Wolfe Lake cottage. The cottage was clean, lots of comfortable sleeping, tons of hang-out spots inside and outside the cottage, and well-equipped with some fun entertainment options for the family. The croquet set, horseshoes, and record player were family faves. Personally, I really enjoyed using the stand up paddle board and relaxing on the lounge chairs on the platform facing the lake. The water off the dock is shallow and stays shallow for a long time, which allowed for some great long swims too!

I booked a surprise getaway for my husband and I - and we have officially found our new yearly place to stay at! Booking with John was so smooth. His property is beautiful, quiet but yet with so many things you can do. The views from the docks were breathtaking. We laid in the hammock, enjoying the sun and the fall colours across the lake and read a book. At night we started the woodstove, cuddled up and enjoyed a movie. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook every meal. John was also phenomenal at communicating, and answered any question we had. We look forward coming back next year with our family.

Great weekend getaway!

Everything from check in to check out was very smooth. John was a great host, very hospitable, quick responses, cottage was tidy and everything listed was available. This is our second stay here and I would recommend it to all.

Lovely Place

This place is a hidden gem. The place was nice and clean and is bigger than shown in photos. We had a great time and would love to stay here again next summer

Beautiful stay at Wolf Lake

Gorgeous secluded cottage! We loved the two dock access points, as well as all the water equipment available for use. This is a cottage you want to continue to visit. Will definitely be re booking next summer. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Quiet Spot

Great cottage with two docks to enjoy the lake. Perfect place for young children learning how to swim. Laundry machines came in handy too. We will look to return next year.

Beautiful view

We stayed with our 3 year old. The address on the VRBO site is not the address of the cottage, which was confusing. The owner was somewhat difficult to contact, but pleasant. The view is beautiful, but the lake front is very slippery on the rocks. The whole lake appeared to have large rocks, so we didn't try swimming. There's a nice little sandy area to play, as well as a small public beach but it is very secluded. Linens are provided which was nice, and laundry on site. We enjoyed the paddle boat.

Amazing getaway with the fam!

A wonderful, relaxing mini-vacation with our grown kids. Lots to do even though the weather didn't always cooperate. We fished, swam, canoed, peddle-boated, played badminton, and board games, and watched movies to fill in the rainy times. Beautiful property - scenic and private.
